Comfy, warm and nicely appointed. Big Foot has a 3.0 litre turbo Diesel engine and auto trans to effortlessly eat up the miles and climb any hill with ease. There is a diesel heater for those colder nights and a chemical toilet just in case. The leisure battery powers the lighting, fridge, one 12 volt socket, a twin USB charging socket and a 1000 watt inverter to keep your devices charged. The inverter will also power the small 240 volt toaster that makes for a quick convenient breakfast or snack. A rechargeable Bluetooth speaker allows you to enjoy your favourite music whilst you relax on the comfy seats. The bed is topped with a memory foam mattress and snuggly double sleeping bag that can also be split into two. There is room in the cabin to set up the double burner gas stove for those days when you don't want to cook outside and a small, quiet ventilation fan to remove stale air and cooking odours. FUEL DIESEL ROAD USER CHARGES APPLY At the rate of $0.09 per kilometre driven ($9 for 100 kilometres). Please note that as the levies that are included in the price of other fuels (such as petrol) are not included in the price of diesel at the pump it will appear significantly cheaper than other fuel types, this difference in price is made up by the road user charge.

Overall a very disappointing experience. After 4 months of traveling with several vans, we have never been this dissatisfied with a van or rental situation. Bigfoot was not fit for purpose due to serious maintenance issues. From the start, the diesel heater did not work, leaving us without heating. The sink died on day 2, so we had no running water (sink/shower). The shower is a modified sink tap running on small plastic container tanks. The van has no proper water tank like normal campervans. A mechanic (visited as instructed) confirmed the defects in heating and sink. The owner refused repairs during the trip or an early return with a refund for unused days. Instead he offered $45 compensationan amount that did not even cover one campground night. Due to the lack of amenities, the van was not self-contained for the full two weeks, forcing us to stay at paid campgrounds. The add-ons are low budget: poor topper, very uncomfortable bed, and overused plates and bowls. Photos on Camplify are mostly wide-angle, making the van appear larger than it is; in reality, it is tiny, you cannot stand, and the bed is very small even for two slim people. We cannot recommend the van and it is not worth the money. We paid as much for a full Campervan with bathroom and heater near Auckland, so we were shocked of how little we got for the money. We do, however, want to thank the Camplify Support Team. After submitting the mechanics report and photos, they stepped in, validated the evidence, and mediated a fair refund. It is sad, that the owner was not willing to offer a fair refund without Camplify stepping in.

We had a great time with BigFoot and were very happy with quick and easy communication. The camper is well equipped, especially the solar panel is helpful. We never had problems to charge our devices. Also the kitchen utensils are just what you need, and we were very happy to have a double gas grill on board. BigFoot is easy to ride and to handle. We just struggled a little bit to get our stuff (clothes, food etc) sorted in, but thats probably just something that gets better with experience.

Big Foot was a dream van and provided great flexibility for our transport and accommodation during our trip around the south island! On top of everything that a normal campervan offers, its diesel heater saved us on a few of the cold nights, and the solar panels and battery storage meant we were never out of power! This means that you do not need a powered site and your fridge doesn't stop working while parked. Roy has thought about everything including cooking and cleaning supplies so you can just pack your bags and enjoy your holiday. Big Foot was easy to drive on the road and all credit should go to Roy for his work on maintaining the car. Roy communicated with us very effectively and was super quick in responding to our messages, whether prior to our trip, during or after it. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and owe the smooth experience to having Big Foot and Roy! We absolutely would recommend this campervan to our friends and anyone looking to travel around the south Island

This trip was our first one travelling around in a van, and Big Foot gave us the best first experience!! Easy driving up every mountain and the perfect amount of space for 2 people. Roy provided us with everything we needed like cutlery, extra blanket, camping chairs etc. He was also easily reachable in case of any questions. Thank you Roy :)
