We source campervans from Japan and customize them in New Zealand, selecting only high-quality, reliable, and well-maintained vehicles to join our fleet. Our fleet features the latest vehicles in New Zealand campervan market, with model years ranging from 2009 to 2018. Importantly, all our vehicles are constructed by locally registered professionals in New Zealand, adhering to the strict regulatory requirements of the country in terms of materials and craftsmanship. The interior furniture of our vehicles is less than 4 years old, constructed between 2022 and 2025. Please note: RUC (Road User Charges) is a NZ government levy which is applicable to all DIESEL fuel vehicles. The Hirer is liable for the cost of RUC (NOT included in the rental charges), and payable to YZ Camper staff when returning the vehicle. (The price of diesel is significantly lower than that of gasoline, so the additional RUC will not affect your overall fuel costs.) Mileage Policy: Included allowance: 200 km per rental day (e.g., a 5-day rental includes 1,000 km). Flexibility: The allowance is based on your total trip distance, not per day. You can drive more on some days and less on others, as long as your total remains within the allowance. Extra kilometers: Any distance beyond your total allowance is charged at NZD 0.30 per km. Note: The 200 km/day figure reflects the average driving patterns of our guests (173 km/day across 400+ hirer groups over the past three years). It’s designed to be a fair balance between flexibility and value — not a daily cap. In case of any accident or breakdown. As campervan owner, we will try our best to repair and assist our guest to continue their journey. However, the guest is also responsible for bringing our campervan back to the mutually agreed drop off location if the vehicle is repaired and drivable in a reasonable time.
