Max comes equipped with the basics, oil, salt, pepper, tea & coffee, etc. All you need to get are your food and drinks. There is plenty of storage in the back for your luggage or extra items and there is a tow bar for a bike rack if you have them.

Hiring rules

• No Smoking, vaping or use of illegal drugs in or near the vehicle.
• No offroad travel including ski access roads
• No Pets
• The vehicle must be returned in the condition of handover. Please ensure the following is completed the rubbish is removed, the fridge is empty, bench spaces are wiped, dishes are clean and put away, floors swept and the toilet cassette is clean and empty, return with the wastewater tank empty, but you don't need to worry about filling the fresh water tank. Failure to return clean will result in excess cleaning fees of $199.00 being applied.
• Return with fuel full of DIESEL all hires include a full tank upon departure. Road user charges apply upon return of vehicle @ 9c per km
• Hirers are welcome to take the van up to 200kms a day. This will be averaged out over the duration of the hire. Example: 5 days hire x 200kms allowance 1000kms for hire permitted in the rate, additional kms will be charged at 50c per km and deducted on completion of the hire.

• Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

  We loved driving Max around the south island! It was perfect size and had everything we needed. Martin was also great, available all the time and super clear with the handover and nice. One thing maybe to improve could be the pans - we had to buy one cause the pan that was in the van a bit dirty/old and couldnt cook with that, but it wasnt a big deal was just $40. Highly recommend it!!!

  Max is a fabulous little campervan. Has everything you need and fits in a standard car park. Bed was very comfy but just beware if you are quite tall as you wont be able to stretch out. Communication from Gill was great, speedy and helpful.

  We loved Max and Marty. The van is perfect for 2 people. You can freedom camp without ever worrying about running out of power, no hooking up required! The van is super comfortable and easy to drive. Marty was a wonderful host, his videos were super helpful. We loved our NZ holiday!

  Van was amazing. Really well equipped, comfy and easy to drive. Hand over from Marty was thorough and informative. Prerfect size for two people. We highly recommend this lovely van.
