Hiring rules

• No smoking inside the vehicle or cabin area.
• Hirer must empty toilet cassette and grey water tank before returning the motorhome. Failure to do so will incur an extra cleaning fee. All chemicals needed for the toilet cassette and flushing water are provided in the storage compartment of the motorhome.
• When refuelling, make sure you use DIESEL and put 25 ml of FYREX into the fuel tank just before fueling (provided in storage compartment). Hirer must fill fuel tank with diesel when finished.
• No off road travel or travel on ski field roads. Salt ruins the chassis sorry.
• The motorhome is over 3 metres high. The hirer must be extremely careful to avoid overhanging trees and eaves of buildings. Have someone get out and check if it is safe to drive in an area if you are not sure.
• Hirer must be at least 25 years of age.
• RUCs are additional to your daily rental and charged at $0.09 per km. These are calculated based on km travelled via Camplify's pre/post hire checklist.
• We can deliver the motorhome to Hamilton airport for you, and meet you on your arrival for the prehire briefing, then pick it up again from the airport when you arrive back, for an extra charge of $150.00 or pick up and $150.00 for return. Should you wish to be met near Auckland airport and have us pick the van up from there on completion of hire we will need to charge an extra $250.00 for pick up and a further $250.00 for return (Airport pick ups and drop offs mean we will need to bring our own car and a second driver each time hence the extra cost).
• Please don't use the awning in strong winds. They are not made for that. Awning must be packed away and properly locked into place before bad weather comes or if leaving the motorhome for extended periods, or overnight.
• Any damage must be reported immediately giving clear details.
• If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe and call Camplify on 0800 779 779. They will advise on how to contact roadside assistance. Then call me! The same applies in the unlikely event of a breakdown.
• If any engine warning light comes on (particularly if it is bright RED) pull over immediately and ring me.
• Any traffic fines or parking and freedom camping infringements etc are the responsibility of the hirer and will be charged at the conclusion of the hire. Please notify the owner if you are aware of any fines incurred. Please pay tolls online on the day of passing through a toll road.
• Deposits must be paid within 48 hours of making a booking otherwise the booking may be cancelled.
• Please note the prehire demonstration takes upwards of an hour so please factor this into your travel plans. You are encouraged to video this demonstration on your phone for future reference. A video can be supplied for you either through whatsapp or via email. Please notify owner if you would like the viseo sent to you.

  Peter gave us the opportunity to rent the perfect campervan for our NZ journey! We have had 54 days in the van - two adults and two kids age 5 and 8, and everything was absoulutely perfect! Peter made sure that we knew everything we needed and showed us how everything worked at handover. Under our journey we had great communication and he responded almost immediatly when we had any questions. The camper was delivered with everything we needed - gas, chemicals and he even made a small care package for our girls with local NZ candy, jams, bisciuts and chips. The enormoes service he provided us even started before we arrived in NZ- He answered all our questions, gave us great advice on what we could see/where we could go and all in all we would definitley recommend renting from Peter. He is an amazing host.

  We really had an amazing holiday with Living the Dream travelling from Auckland to Taupo via Hobbiton and Rotorua and back to Auckland, onto Paihia then back to Raglan. The camper was so easy to drive and set up each day and the youtube video from Peter helped as a reminder as did the crib cards. The bed at the back was comfy and my son said the overhead bed was good. It was a tight squeeze when there were 4 of us with luggage but my son had travelled with his car which helped overnight and between moving locations We didn't use the shower and stayed all but one night in powered campsites which helped with charging phones etc. Having some USB charging ports would have been helpful but we managed with a charging block and my very old phone for maps, and also had use of a cigarette lighter double USB charging port. Having the ability to go where we liked was perfect and we were not restricted to a set timetable or travel plans and changed our plans often. Peter was so helpful and made a few suggestions and offered help along our journey with things to see and do including spending time in his home town of Raglan...perfect for surfing, food and coffee! Sadly the holiday had to come to and end but we would happily hire again from Peter and Live the Dream again. Thank you so much for all your help
