Swallow is a compact yet surprisingly spacious van - even tall folks can stand fully upright. Drives like a car, holds the road well and is easy to park, even outside a supermarket (see photo of van in a normal parking space). The vehicle sleeps two adults very comfortably and can be configured into a double bed or two singles. If you are travelling solo, you could also set the van up as a single bed only - see photos for all these configurations. During the day, there is heaps of sitting space plus the table can be set either across the long bench or in front of the single seat. Shower and toilet, all the necessary kitchen items, gas cooking and hot water, lovely sound system and great air con Good storage throughout. An built-in safe for precious items. Mileage is included up to an average of 200km per day - we'll work out your total average depending on the length of hire. Additional kms are charged at 25c per km. Road User Charges (RUC) are also billed at the end of the trip at .09c per km. You'll make some wonderful memories on a trip in this van.

Please note that although there is a satellite dish and TV installed, these are not in working condition. Most hirers use their own laptops for streaming services etc.

Hiring rules

  • Minimum hirer age is 25 years
  • Valid full drivers license required to drive
  • No smoking in the vehicle.
  • No offroad allowed
  • Van to be returned in same condition as received:
  • Full tank of diesel
  • Full water tank
  • Full gas tank
  • Empty waste water tank
  • Empty toilet cassette
  • Crockery, cutlery and pots washed and put away
  • Fridge empty
  • Linens bundled ready for laundry
  • All electrics switched off
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    This van is great and has everything we needed for our week long trip up north. The layout is really spacious, and the bed is easy to convert into a couch and back. Linda's communication throughout was superb, and she was really accommodating to a couple of requests we had, which was really appreciated. Looking forward to renting Swallow again in the future.

    It is a nice compact campervan. Easy to drive especially for people who don't have experience in driving campervan. The campervan is well equipped and has everything we needed. The owner is very helpful (thanks). We very enjoyed our campervan trip.
