Faya and I would be delighted to host you at our house (Air BnB), on your first or last night, free of charge, during which we can talk you through the highlights of the South Island so you can make the most of your trip. Please feel free to unpack your luggage in the van and leave your travel cases at our house (safe and secure) ready for when you return. We welcome people who would like to bring their own bikes to NZ and travel round the SI with them. I've travelled with my bike to multiple locations around the world and would be happy to offer insights on the best and easiest way to do this.

Hiring rules

  • No offroad driving / beach driving / extended driving on gravel roads.
  • No smoking inside / no pets OR pets only upon application / no festivals
  • Hirer age restrictions of 25
  • Standard pickup / dropoff times are 07:00 20:00 but happy to discuss options outside of this.
  • Any damage must be reported immediately – who, what, where and when will be required.
  • If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe and call Camplify on 03 668 1211 – they will advise on how to contact roadside assistance. Then call me!
  • Road User Charges are additional to your daily set rate and charged at 0.09c per km travelled.
  • Fuel – return filled with diesel/unleaded fuel. All hires include a full tank upon departure for drivable vehicles.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
