Hiring rules

  • The portaloo is there if you really need it, but please use it only when necessary.
  • Make sure it’s returned clean and with the cassette emptied.
  • If it’s not clean or emptied, there’s a $250.00 cleaning fee to cover the extra work.
  • Please return the van with a full tank of diesel.
  • Remove all rubbish and wash any used dishes.
  • If van needs extra cleaning when it's returned a $160.00 cleaning fee may apply.
  • No smoking or vaping inside the van, please.
  • NO OFFROAD, NO Beach Driving ,NO Extended Gravel Roads, NO Skifield access roads ,

Keep it to sealed roads only.
  • The van must stay on the South Island.
  • Road user charges charged at a rate of $0.09 per km travelled. This total will be added up upon completion of hire and charged to hirer upon drop off.
  • maximum of 200km driving per day of hire. Any KM over this total will be charged at $0.40 per km to be paid upon drop off.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
