Freddy is for travellers who want something a little more personal, a little more considered, and a lot more comfortable than the standard rental van. If you love spaces that feel handmade, tested, and packed with character, you’ll feel right at home. Being a carpenter who loves attention to detail and functionality, I have finally found my favourite van layout and use of space. Freddy is a trusty 2013 Toyota Hiace chasis with a fresh conversion completed in February 2025 and after a few camping trips, a few tweaks and changes, is now ready for your next NZ adventure! A few key features include: - Double bed with queen size duvet and extra blankets + cushions - Double gas burner - Pots, pans, utensils and cutlery - Tea, Coffee, salt and pepper, oil and even some chocolates! - Folding sink - Good quality chilly bin - 20L freshwater storage - 10L pressure washer - perfect for beach days or cleaning dishes. - Towels if needed - Portable battery bank with 240v inverter - Awning for showers or shade - Blinds for privacy - Folding chairs and table - Roof cage - Heaps of internal storage space! Pick up/ Drop off info : We're based 10 minutes from Queenstown airport and flexible on timings to suit your schedule. Service fee: We have a set fee for all of our vans, ensuring they are always cleaned, sanitised and prepared for each trip.
