We would like to share our lovely Campervan with you so you can have the opportunity to experience New Zealand like we do - taking your time and enjoying the beautiful scenery that NZ has to offer whilst enjoying the relaxation and comfort that our Motorhome can offer you. Silver Fern Camper is fully self-contained (and off-grid) which means you can enjoy freedom camping by the beach, alongside the river, with a sea or mountain view; whatever you wish (no off-road though, sorry). Or enjoy the comforts by plugging in at one of the many available campgrounds. Our Camper is suitable for 4 people staying inside overnight. It has a large double bed (2m long x 1.5m wide) above the cab (with good ceiling height), and two large single beds at the back (2m long). The Camper has high ceilings and has a large and comfortable u-shape lounge at the back (with removable table) which has great views all around and fly screens on all windows. There is an awning which unwinds for sun protection (fair weather only). The kitchen is fully equipped with basic condiments included, along with cutlery/cooking utensils, crockery/cups/glasses etc, and your cooking/appliance essentials, along with a (240v/12v) fridge/freezer, 4 burner (gas) stove top with grill and extraction fan, along with camping chairs, small table, and outdoor floor mat to sit outside under the Fiamma Awning. We also provide level ramps to help with keeping the Camper level when the ground is uneven. The bathroom has a cassette toilet, fold out sink, and shower (with proper shower head) to wash away the day's activities. There is a fresh water tank, grey water holding tank, and tank for black water (along with hoses and fittings for both). The gas bottle(s) will be full, and the batteries charged (2 start batteries, 1 house battery and 2 solar panels on the roof). There is a 12v fan for those warm summer nights and a (gas) space heater for the cooler mornings. Along with the large double bed above the cab, we have 2 x single beds at the back which can fold out to a king. Linen (sheets and pillow cases for one double bed and 2 single beds), pillows, duvets/blankets and towels are all included (as well as tea towels and bathmat). Our new Majestic Smart TV is great for entertainment. Assuming you are within cellphone coverage, you can connect your smart phone via the included HDMI cable (bring your own streaming account Eg Netflix, plus phone data/hot spot); or if you are out of cellphone coverage, then there is the option to watch one of the many DVDs which are included. With a length of only 5.6 metres, she is a great size to manage for any driver. You can drive on a normal car license. 5 speed manual with short wheel base chassis. And with air brakes, good roadworthy tyres, and a reliable engine, you'll be comfortable to drive safely on our open roads. There are 3 seatbelts in the front, and 2 lap belts in the back (all certified). If arriving (via Ferry) into Picton, you can catch the Intercity Bus to Nelson. We are happy to pick you up from the bus depot in Nelson CBD when you arrive. We can also collect you from Nelson Airport; or if you prefer, you can catch a taxi/uber as we are just a 5 minute drive from the Airport. Please just message us your request when you are booking. Hiring rules

Hirer and Driver must be 25 years of age of older.
Driver must be the same person as the Hirer (unless otherwise advised by the Hirer and preapproved by the owner).
No smoking or vaping inside the vehicle or under the awning.
No pets allowed.
Vehicle must be returned with a full tank of fuel (diesel only).
The gas bottle is a 4kg bottle and will be full upon pickup. You are welcome to refill them yourself (at a registered gas refill supplier, please keep the receipt), otherwise your usage will be charged as an additional cost upon drop off of the vehicle. The oncharge cost will be $35.00 per bottle should you not refill them yourselves.
The grey holding tank must be emptied, and the black (toilet) tank must be emptied and thoroughly washed out (using hoses provided) before drop off. Failure to comply with result in a Fee of $150.00 being charged.
The vehicle must be returned clean. All dishes must be washed and put away, benches/cupboards and the inside of the fridge/freezer must be wiped down, the toilet and shower room must be clean, and the Campervan floor must be swept clean. The (single beds) bedding must also be folded neatly away in the storage lockers under the seats on the right. Failure to comply will result in a Fee of $150.00 being charged.
Please allow 45 minutes to complete the pickup and drop off procedures.
No oneway hires are permitted.
Sorry, no children under 5 years of age are permitted.
No parties/festivals.
Awning must be packed away before bad weather arises.
Road User Charges (RUC's) are additional to your daily rate and will be calculated via the vehicle's odometer reading at the time of return. Road User Charges (RUC's) are charged at 0.09 cents per kilometre (km) travelled.
Any damage must be reported immediately to Camplify and the owner who, what, where and when will be required.
If you require roadside assistance, call Camplify on 0800 779 779 and dial '4'. Please advise the owner at the same time.
Road restrictions apply as follows:
(a) Vehicles can only be driven on sealed/bitumen roads (no gravel roads). (b) Vehicles are not permitted on Skippers Road (Queenstown), Ball Hutt Road (Mt. Cook), Ninety Mile Beach (Northland), and North of Colville Township (Coromandel Peninsula). (d) Camplify Vehicles are also not permitted on any ski field access roads during the time of year that they are in operation.

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

We loved our trip in this camper! Vicki and her husband were very helpful, taking the time to get us fully set up and ready to go before we set off. The camper had all the amenities we needed and was very comfortable for sleeping, with plenty of space throughout. One of our favourite features was the couch seating in the back with the large windowsyou can park up, sit back, and simply enjoy the views - or take a nap : ) The camper performed really well off-grid, the batteries and solar charging let us charge our phones & kept the fridge and lights on. It was also a good size for driving, making it easier to navigate carparks and narrower roads. Overall, a fantastic camper and a wonderful experiencewe recommend it!
