To get a good handover of the vehicle be prepared to spend 60 minutes to understand how to fully use Rory the RV. A Webber BBQ may be be requested depending availability.

Hiring rules

• Hirer must be 25 years of age or older, please confirm that all drivers are over the ages of 25 and have held a full drivers licence for at least 2 years. Driver’s license must be shown at booking and pick up.
• Speed limit is 90km/h
• A minimum hire different from the standard minimum may apply depending on the season. please check the calendar.
• 4 day minimum hire, 7 day minimum hire over Christmas & New Year.
• To ensure the Rory the RV is kept fresh and clean for future renters we have a policy of
• Strictly NO SMOKING or VAPING in the motor home or under the awning.
• No preparation or cooking of fish, curry or similar in the Rory the RV
• If strong odours are evident upon return of Rory, a deodorisation fee of $150.00 will be charged and may result in loss of bond.
• The vehicle must be returned clean, dishes washed and put away, bench surfaces wiped down.
• Sorry no pets permitted.
• No festivals or events without prior consultation.
• Road user charges is a govt tax on diesel vehicles in NZ, an additional fee of NZ $0.09 per km to be paid on the return of Rory the RV (based on distance travelled)
• Rory the RV must be driven on sealed roads at all times, with exception of well maintained access roads of less than 5km in length to access camping grounds/ doc sites.
• No off road driving, beach driving, driving up ski fields or driving through flood waters, or on roads or other areas that are at risk of flooding that have been closed by any public or statutory authority or in respect to warnings by such authorities.
• During heavy winds, if you don’t feel safe to drive on the road, please park Rory the RV in a safe place (facing into the wind)
• The vehicle is long and tall, so when you are driving or parking please be aware particularly of over hanging trees, buildings or road signs. If any damage happens please report it immediately.
• Please be familiar with the exclusions, terms and conditions of your insurance coverage.
• All tolls and fines are the sole responsibility of the hirer.
• Awning MUST be stowed away in strong winds, overnight and when leaving Rory the RV to avoid damage ( and get a good nights sleep as it can be noisy and flappy if the winds gets up)
• All windows/skylights/cupboards/drawers/ fridge must fully closed before driving.
• Handbrake must be engaged when stationary.
• EMERGENCY If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately and call us.
• ACCIDENT If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 0800 779 779 they call the AA. Then please call us.
• DAMAGE If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when will be required. call Camplify on 0800 779 779 and then call us.
• Pickup / drop off times are by MUTUAL agreement.
• Soft luggage only to be stored inside. If collecting from our place we can store bulky suitcases.
• Payment of a deposit is required by Camplify within 48hrs of your booking being approved, otherwise, your booking may be cancelled due to additional hire requests.
• Whilst we don’t expect it to be spotless, we do ask you to bring the motorhome back in a clean, tidy state with a clean interior and all rubbish removed.
• The motorhome will be supplied with a full tank of diesel, gas bottle and fresh water tank filled please ensure it is the same when it is returned.
• The grey water tank/ toilet cassette must be emptied at the end of your journey otherwise a refuelling and emptying fee of $150.00 will apply plus the cost of diesel and gas.
• Finally, please ensure you pay the 25% deposit (or the full amount if the start of the booking period is within 30 days) within 48 hours of acceptance to confirm and secure your booking.

  Fantastic Motorhome & Great Hosts! We had an amazing experience renting this motorhome for our holiday to Taranaki. From the start, everything was smooth and easyRob and Nicola were fantastic, taking the time to explain everything we needed to know to operate the RV confidently. The motorhome itself was a pleasure to drive, handling beautifully on the road with plenty of power to tackle big hills with ease. Inside, it was incredibly spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. The beddings was super comfy, making for a great nights sleep, and there was plenty of storage space for all our gear. Everything worked perfectly, and it truly felt like a home on wheels. A great bonus was that there were even some activities for kids, which made the trip even more enjoyable for the whole family! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable motorhome adventure!

  Fantastic camper and so ideal for our family of four including two, under the age of three. Spacious and comfortable, we each enjoyed 4 good nights rest. The shower has enough space to move and pressure was good, much better than expected!! Windows boast for amazing views! Kitchen and cooking facilities are great, everything needed was included. Hot water is instant, having a gas stove and lights without a power connection was a huge advantage! The freedom to stop and rest up anywhere and travel in our own time was wonderful! Storage space was exceptional and driving very easy plus quick to pickup speed. Toilet and facilities are all clean, emptying was easy and also all very clean. Rory has been well taken care of and we can only hope future renters do the same, because one day we plan to take Rory out on another adventure!
