Cruze is a certified self-contained, solar powered van with bohemian vibes and a great layout. Built for functionality and comfort, Cruze is perfect for any adventure. The added awning creates a seamless flow from inside to outside hangout spaces. With basic kitchen essentials, table, camping chairs and bedding available an additional extra included, Cruze is ready to take you on your next road trip. Additional information

Set-up guide given to the hirer upon pick up to assist you in your camping experience. Self-contained green sticker and licence is included. Linen: if linen is added as an extra, a duvet, four pillows and bedding with covers will be included. Bath towels and tea towels will also be added. Delivery/drop off: Could arrange to drop off the van at New Plymouth Airport or drive to meet hirer upon request when booking is made (depending on distance from the city). Emergency: If any engine lights come on the dashboard, please pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road and stay safe. Please call Camplify on 0800 779 779 and they will send road side assistance. Power: Cruze is solar powered, but if additional power is required, a RCD power cord with a camping plug is included. The cord does not plug into the van, so it would have to be externally fed.

Hiring rules

  • No smoking or vaping inside the van.
  • No Pets.
  • No off road driving, beach driving or extended driving on gravel roads.
  • Beware of the weather when setting up the awning. They can be fragile.
  • COOKING: Please do not cook inside the van with the gas cooker. Use the side drawer that pulls the stove out and cook there or on the table provided.
  • CLEANING: Please clean the vans interior before returning the vehicle. This includes the toilet, cutlery, plates/bowls and the cooking pots and pans. You don't need to wash the bedding if you added that extra.
  • WATER TANKS: Please empty the waste water tank before returning the vehicle. Please make sure to wash out the waste water tank and pipes with clean water.
  • FUEL: Please return the vehicle with a full tank of PETROL. Van rentals come provided with a full fuel tank before departure.
  • DAMAGE: If any damage was to occur to the van, please report it immediately. Make sure to include the details of what/when/where/who.
  • If you wanted to cross between the North and South Island, be sure to book the ferry in advance.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    We had a great experience in Cruze. Literally a drive to Hastings for a family gathering and back so just used the van for drive and to sleep in. Stayed on property with family so didn't have the need to check out all the facilities, but it was a great experience all the same and very comfy. We would be keen to hire same van again to utilise all the camper facilities. Cruze is very well kitted out, clean and communication throughout and post was excellent. Would definitely recommend Danielle and Cruze.

    So glad I chose Cruze to carry and house me during my 7 weeks in NZ! An absolute gem of a van, had everything I needed for a very comfortable trip. No issues at all and Danielle was always super responsive if I had any questions. Ill definitely be renting Cruze again!

    Cruze is the best introduction to the Campervan life! Compact enough to go just about anywhere disguised as a normal van, but super roomy and comfortable for two adults to have a wicked weekend away! The bed is surprisingly comfortable All & all, Danielle was organized with printed instructions for everything and super communicative which went so smoothly on handover and pickup! We would highly recommend
