Bongi is a smooth-driving, manual 2008 Mazda Bongo. Its perfect size makes it easy to park in the city and ideal for exploring small towns throughout New Zealand! Hiring rules

1. No offroad driving / beach driving / extended driving on gravel roads.
2. No smoking inside / no pets (a professional cleaning fee of $250.00 will be charged if this rule is breached)
3. Vehicle must be returned clean or you'll risk a cleaning fee of $150.00
4. No freecamping. This van is not Self Contained
5. Any damage must be reported immediately who, what, where and when will be required.
6. Pull over immediately if any engine lights come on. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe and call Camplify on 03 668 1211 they will advise on how to contact roadside assistance. Then call me!
7. Payment of a deposit is required within 48hrs of your booking being approved, otherwise I may cancel it.
8. Fuel returned filled with petrol. All hires include a full tank upon departure.

Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Pricing

Hire Fee: From $130.00 per day
Service fee: $75.00

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

Bongi was a great van to see the South Island in! It had everything we needed for our travels. Cecilia was lovely and very accommodating! She was quick to reply to messages and very helpful whenever we had a question. We travelled around with three people - borrowing a tent and inflatable mattress from Cecilia. It was tight but doable. Would definitely hire Bongi again!

Bongi was great for our south island travels, and we enjoyed manual transmission for navigating the many hills. No issues with the van at all, it was well equipped and well looked after. The driving cab was not built for large or extra tall people - it might be a bit squishy. Communication with Cecilia and Tahi was open and easy.

If you're looking for a comfortable, practical, and super cozy van, this is the one. Bongi was amazingperfectly laid out, making every inch of space incredibly useful. Communication with Ceci and Tahi was smooth and easygoing. They shared great recommendations on camping spots, places to shop, and must-visit destinations from their perspective. For the drop-off, they were really flexible, and we were able to agree on a time that worked for both sides. If we ever come back to NZ, wed definitely reach out to them again!

We had an incredible experience with this van! From the moment we picked it up, everything was perfect. We loved our time in Bongi!! Bongi felt like home with all the bits and bobs you dont get if you hire a van through a company. Supringly spacious and we loved the outside kitchen from the back. Couldnt recommend a Bongi adventure anymore !
