Hiring rules

• let's stay clear of rough terrain (no beaches, offroading or extended gravel roads) – If you have a gravel road you'd love to travel you can message me and we can talk about it (needs to be preapproved in writing in Camplify Messages before the trip begins)
• Return vehicle with full tank of fuel PETROL only.
• Take all of your belongings and dispose of any rubbish. We’ll take care of the rest.
• Only use toilet if absolutely necessary. If used, empty the cassette into a legal dump site or toilet and clean it thoroughly. If not empty and clean a $150.00 charge will incur.
• Awning must be packed away in windy weather.
• No cooking (or minimal in case of bad weather) inside the van, please use the provided gas cooker outside as much as possible.
• EMERGENCY If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call emergency services on 111 if required. Or call Camplify on +643 668 1211 and choose 4 for roadside assistance. Then call us.
• DAMAGE If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when will be required.
• NO Smoking inside
• FUEL Return full of PETROL All hires include a full tank upon departure.
• CLEANING Clean the equipment,
• Vehicle must be returned in a tidy state.
• LONG TRIPS Hirers are welcome to take the van up to 200 kilometres a day. This will be averaged out over the duration of hire Example: 5 days hire 5 x 200 km Allowance: 2000 km for hire permitted in the rate, additional kms will be charged at 30c per km and deducted on completion of the hire.

  We have had the most amazing 2 weeks exploring the south island in the van. We travelled across to Franz Josef, Wanaka, Queenstown, Mt Cook, Lake Tekapo and Kaikora without any issues, using a mixture of freedom camping and paid campground spots. The van had everything we needed for cooking, chilling, driving and sleeping. We actually over packed as didn't think it would have all the details ( washing up liquid, cooking oil, blankets etc) The solar panel meant we always had a power source for charging electronics and keeping the cooler running. The bed is super comfy and we found it easy enough to drive the hilly landscape. Definitely enjoyed ourselves and recommend Mitch's van. Thanks heaps

  My friend and I rented the van for a four-week trip over the South Island, and we had a great time! We felt really at home in this cozy van, which is thoughtfully equipped with everything youd need on your camping trip. Contact with Mitchell and his brother went very smooth, they were super helpful and quick to respond whenever something came up. Some parts of the interior are clearly a little old and self-built and we had a minor issue with a leaking sink but nothing that wasnt fixable. Apart from that, the van is very pleasant to drive and the car itself had no problems whatsoever during our trip, even though it can be a bit slow on the uphills. All in all, we have grown really attached to our little home on wheels and almost didnt want to give it back after the trip was over ;) Highly recommend!
