On the first day, we already noticed mold on the front sunshades and even found a pack of tissues that was completely moldy. We informed the owner immediately. At that point, the issue seemed limited, so we continued the trip. Two days later, we discovered significant mold underneath the mattress and on the mattress itself. This was not visible during pickup and only became apparent after using the van. At that point, the vehicle was no longer usable for sleeping. We both started experiencing symptoms like coughing and dizziness. The situation forced us to stop using the campervan and arrange alternative accommodation at our own cost. Communication with the owner was difficult. He declined further compensation beyond unused days and referred to the initial inspection, although the main issue was clearly hidden and could not reasonably be detected at pickup. Additionally, he initially offered to rebook us into another campervan, which we accepted. Shortly after, he claimed it was no longer available. However, the van was still bookable on the platform, which we documented. Overall, this experience was disappointing, especially regarding hygiene standards and how the issue was handled. We recommend future renters to check the vehicle very thoroughly, including hidden areas like under the mattress.

Had a blast running around in Lily. She was tidy with everything needed to get by. Unfortunately we were unable to get the back door to open which did limit us on how we could use her, but she contributed to a colourful week.

We had a fun 5 day adventure with Lily! I did find driving her a bit of a learning curve being from Canada and having to switch sides along with the manual transmission and exciting NZ roads, weather and wind. But once we got acquainted we got along very well. Troy was great the van was well prepped and equipped (aside from a few minor kitchen things missing and a noisy fan belt). The bed was super comfy and the curtains were awesome with the bright morning sunshine. All in all, for an old girl, Lily was a gem. Thank you Troy!
