We had a great holiday in Wanda Wagon. She was a bit slow on the motorways but the van has everything you need.

We had a great getaway in Wanda! I was confident driving the manual and it handled really well. The bed is really comfortable and there was everything we needed for our trip. Thanks!

The van is very tidy for its age and condition. Easy to drive, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. The access to everything is easy and has everything on board. One thing that needs a minor addressing is the fridge door shelf, this need to be replaced as with weight on it all it falls off, other than that its 100% the best van for the price range.

First of all, Jenny is a wonderful person who made sure our experience with the van was the best. Van is super well-equipped, comfy, spacious, tho with all this equipment lacking a bit of space for personal belongings. But it has all the space you need for a super comfortable journey around NZ, having warm showers and dinners every night on the side of the road (water lasts for 4 eco-showers). We spent 3 weeks in it doing the whole 6000km trip around both islands. Even though the van has its years and mileage, it seems very well-maintained and indestructible, like a good old German tank it is. We never felt it can disapoint us. Although, seeing the other reviews we were already prepared it is SLOW. And yes, be prepared to let go all vehicles behind you. We weren't in a hurry and basically chose to pay less for an older slower van instead of a newer but smaller one without showers etc. Well the reality was that it can easilly keep up 100kph on flat and do the needed KMs on long trips, but it's motor is loud all the time and has real tough time going on steep uphills. Arthur's Pass and way to Milford Sound were the toughest, it slowed down to 1st gear, but we did it. The 1st gear in it is very efficient and can move the vehicle even on steepest hill, just slowly and with a nice big black puff of smoke behind you :) Upside is after a super steep climb and long day with a noisy motor, you pull over on a nice seeside view, turn off the noise maker and immerse the beauty through the living part you access directly from the seat (i never used the drivers door, direct hop to the sofa-bed!). We already miss the living part and places Wanda took us! (and feeling like a good ol' truck driver)

Everything was fantastic. Wanda is comfortable, it has everything you need during your campervan trip. Jenny is flexible, helpful and always there if needed. The only thing you need to keep in mind that Wanda doesn't like steep roads...

Brilliant hire, top marks, 5 out of 5 on all counts, Wanda the Wander Wagon was perfect! A real home-away-from-home, very well-maintained and easy to drive, thorough handover from Jennie with everything well-explained and fully demonstrated, and everything working properly, wonderful to sleep across the back and open all the doors and windows to the sun and the breeze. Very comfortable and I had everything I needed fresh clean linen, plenty of clean crockery & cooking utensils, basic pantry with coffee & tea-making facilities and lots of extras, all the cleaning products I needed including gloves for changing the cassette. Jennie is a great communicator, she was in touch prior to hire, picked me up from the airport no problems even though my first flight was re-routed due to fog, and kept in contact to make sure I got to BeachHop safely and all was OK. Totally recommend and would definitely hire Wanda again!

Wanda was great for our trip, slow up the hills, but apart from that, made our trip a unique experience. Jennifer was great in all aspects, making pick up and drop off a breeze. We recommend Wanda for your next trip.

We had a wonderful time in Wanda! We hired her for 2 weeks to explore the northern island. Everything was up to our expectation and we can recommend Wanda to absolutely everybody. Jennie was very easy in her communication and responded very quickly to all of our queries. We had a great time and would love to hire Wanda once again.

We had the most amazing time in Wanda Wagon!! We hired her for 3 months for our trip around New Zealand and we had the absolute best time. She had everything we needed- built in toilet and shower, 2 hob cooking stove, decent sized fridge with a small freezer, towels, bedding, tea/coffee, oil & spices and lots of cooking equipment. We found the bed very easy to set up each night. The camping chairs and table were fantastic - extremely comfortable compared to most camping chairs and perfect for sitting outside under the awning. Jennie was great at communicating and gave us a thorough and detailed handover. She helped us with any issues we had and was quick at responding to our messages. One of the great advantages of Wanda is the big windows. It lets in so much light during the day, whilst having great curtains for privacy and at night. When we parked up at beautiful locations, we could open the back doors and see so much of the scenery just from sitting inside the van. This made a real difference to our experience. She is so spacious inside that we could comfortably relax indoors on a rainy day. She was easy to drive and got us around the whole of New Zealand over a long period of time. I was nervous about driving a 6.1 metre vehicle, but was pleasently surprised at how easy it was! She was slow on hills, but most campervans tend to be slow on hills! It was good being able to plug our phones in whilst driving, as it charged them up and we could play our own music through Bluetooth. We did find that there wasnt the largest amount of storage space in the van, but we still managed to fit all our things in. Also the heater didnt work, however it is something that Jennie said is getting sorted, and we didnt need it anyway. It was nice and cosy and we didnt get too cold or too hot. The house battery sometimes ran out overnight because we mainly stayed in freedom camping spots where we didnt have power plugged in. This just meant that sometimes we would wake up with the fridge having turned off. So we would just start the engine which charges the house battery, so it wasnt much of an issue really. We would 100% highly recommend Jennie and Wanda wagon. The van was so amazing for us and everything that we hoped for, for our dream New Zealand road trip! We have so many amazing memories and wish we could do it all over again!! Thank you again, Jennie.
