Hi, I'm Mateos

I was Mateo's (Facundo) first hire. His communications were excellent throughout the hire, and he responded quickly to me on two occassions while I was travelling. The engine management light was illuminated for much of the week which was a slightly nagging concern but he assured me that a mechanic hadsaid it would not be a problem, and it wasn't. He has fitted out 'Maverick' himself so it should be understood that it not a 'factory fit' camper. Consequently, there is some finessing required which I have pointed out to him, which he accepted constructively. e.g. The roof lining has exposed fixings on which I scraped my head several times. Mateo said he would attend to it for future hires. The van drives well. I'm used to manual drive and preferred it for managing steep gradients, especially when descending to control downhill speed. The mattress is very comfortable - I put the bed in place and left it there for the week. Only a bottom sheet and two pillowcases were provided. A top sheet is needed as I was obliged to sleep under the blankets provided. Mateo accepted the need for a second sheet in future hires. I think a duvet would be more convenient to use than arranging the three blankets provided. The equipment fitted (fridge/stove) are all good. Overall, a positive experience.
