Hi, Im Peter! I am a passionate campervan enthusiast, a detail-driven Digital Project Manager, and the proud owner of Hey Buddy. My love for the road comes from years of exploring New Zealands hidden gems with my own family. Having enjoyed countless road trips together, I fell in love with the freedom and simplicity of waking up in Aotearoas most beautiful corners. Ive poured that experience into Hey Buddy, my KEA Horizon motorhome. This iconic Kiwi design is professionally built for maximum space and reliability, making it the perfect companion for the journeys I love to share. Because I use this van for my own family adventures, I focus on the things that truly matter: reliability, safety, and a comfortable night's sleep. I have personally replaced the standard thin mattresses with proper sprung ones and upgraded the power system to a 4.7kWh dual-battery setup for real off-grid independence. Im not a big rental company; Im an individual who is passionate about sharing the love of camping with others. My goal is to ensure you have a smooth, comfortable, and memorable trip just like the ones my family has enjoyed. All you need to bring is your sense of adventure!

We had an awesome time in the 711 van. The bed is super comfortable. It is good on fue and has everything you need to jump in and enjoy your adventure - there were even small snacks and cute little souvenirs. Peter has thought of everything you need! We loved the character of an older van, enjoying a chill pace but still able to get up the hills. Peters video was really detailed and made everything very easy. He was really approachable, flexible with pick up/drop off times and went the extra mile to show us ferry time tables and local dinner recommendations. Highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back!

This has been one of my best trips ever and it exceeded all of my expectations. The van has an old school charm with all the new age gadgets that make your trip pleasant and easy. Peter has been so supportive and always on standby to help me with any questions I had. 10/10 experience!

This was beyond my every expectation! The van has this old school charm but has all the new age gadgets that Peter single-handedly installed so you can enjoy your own music, movie watching on a projector, top of the line kitchen set up, spacious bed and even two pairs of walking sticks if you want to go hiking. Peter really thought of it all! I do hope I come back to NZ and if I do I will definitely book this van again. I truly had the best time!

We had an amazing first motorhome experience! Peter made the entire process so easy; he is super friendly and always replied to our messages almost instantly. We took the van off-grid for five days and it handled it like a dreamthe new deep cycle battery meant we never had to worry about power. The motorhome was clean, easy to drive, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable for the whole family. Peter really goes the extra mile with thoughtful touches and useful accessories. We cant recommend him enough!
