We had a great 2 week adventure with this van! Comes equipped with everything you will need. Lots of storage spots. We were 3 adults in the van and didnt feel like it was too cramped. Easy to drive and host is great, provided us with lots of recommendations. Highly recommend booking this van for your New Zealand adventures!

We had a really great time with black Dubby. The van is well equipped and we really liked that there is a possibility to use the outdoor cooking station and in addition the inside stove. The communication with rob was impeccable. We would definitely hire again

We had a great 3 week trip in Big Dubby which is a thoughtfully put together self-contained campervan with plenty of helpful features. We appreciated its flexibility - with pull out and inside work benches, inside electric induction cook top (which heats things very quickly) plus basic gas camping stove for outside. There is good storage space. One of us needed to power a Cpap machine overnight and the battery/inverter handled it well + charged our phones (with double USB port next to sleeping area). The reading lamp was great too. We didn't use the awning all the time but it was very useful on days of rain or in a campsite with full sun. The vehicle itself drives well. Rob the owner was very responsive and kindly checked our itinerary - giving good suggestions before we left.

Excellent, we love the VW camper van in general ( we own a California at home). Beautifully engineered and built by Rob, but very different from the California lay out. Rob s van is more fine weather oriented, living and cooking with open back door. Not as ideal in cold or wet days as the California. Otherwise a very fine car, especially if you do not like the big white plastic camper vans. Highly recommended!!

We has a wonderful holiday for 12 days with this van. Eventually we didn't do the free camping, but you could easily. Building the bed is an easy task. Diving goes smooth, the van has enough power to drive up all the hills.

The van is brilliant, super comfortable bed and plenty of space inside. Loved the big fridge, and loads of storage for bags. The van is self contained, and means you get cheaper, and better located pitches on sites (closer to beach) as no plug in required - the van batteries charge as you go, and from solar panels. Its automatic, with powerful engine, which makes driving the many hairpin bends simple and easy allowing you to enjoy the views. Rob is a fantastic - friendly and loads of good advice and help. Pickup and drop-off very quick and efficient.

THE perfect campervan for an outdoor NZ experience. Has got everything you need for freedom camping and exploring the amazing nature of Aotearoa. Rob was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Definitely do recommend for adventurous travellers.

We had an amazing holiday with Dubby. Rob was extremely helpful even making modifications to the van prior to our arrival. We were there for Coast to Coast and the van was perfect for transporting gear (kayak and bike) and providing a comfortable place to sleep. Its self sufficient so you dont need to book campsites with electrical hookup. The pop top is a great feature providing a sense of space and separation at night.

we had a great trip with Big Dubby, drove very well, and felt like it had all the things we needed, we loved the awning for when it rained, and the battery had no issue charging between solar and the driving we did around the south island for 15 days. we were a bit unlucky and had a flat tyre on the first night but a full proper spare was provided and worked great once we got to a bigger town the owner Rob had arranged a new tyre and had it waiting for us, so we could continue to have a good spare on our trip. Excellent communication, a very well-designed van, and a nice firm bed.
