Olivia 5.0We had the absolute best weekend in Gavan! The owners have thought of everything you could need and more. From thoughtful touches like a thermos and hot water bottles, to the little things you don't even think to pack it was all there waiting for us. The van itself is spacious, well-designed, and super easy to set up when you are converting it from the table and benches to the queen size bed. There's more storage than you'd expect, which meant two of us never felt cramped. The bed is very warm even on a chilly Tekapo night and very comfortable - our 12-year-old declared he slept better than he does at home, which says it all! The fridge/freezer combo is a real highlight for a camping trip, keeping everything fresh without any fuss. Communication from the owners was super fast and friendly, and all of the handover instructions were clear and easy to follow. We had never had a van weekend before this and safe to say, we are absolutely converted - but Gavan has set the bar very high and will be the only one we rent! Thank you for an amazing weekend; we're already thinking about our next booking.
Maarten 4.8It is a nice and big campervan for a family holiday. We had quite some bad luck with the weather, so it was less enjoyable than planned. We rented it just before it was going to maintenance, which was needed because we had a couple of leaking windows. But Kate and Geoff were very helpful and apologetic, communication was great.
Jessica 5.0We couldnt have asked for a more suited van for our 4 week adventure. Although he seems small, Arlo has everything you will need and more. Me and my 6,4 partner slept comfortably every night with no complaints. We did opt to take the mattress topper and would strongly advise anyone else tooits superb! Arlo is super easy to drive and the advantage of a smaller van certainly comes in handy when freedom camping. Some sites are much more difficult for bigger vans to navigate from our experience. The van hosts plenty of pantry space for shopping and fridge, water tap and solare panels meaning there was no need to spend money on powered sites. Plenty of power to charge our devices and light our evenings in the van. Lastly Courtney and Matt are so helpful. Readily available at all time for questions or travel advice and the picking up and dropping off of the van were stress and hassle free. After 28 nights adventuring the entire South Island together we found handing Arlo back quite emotional. He really is a special little van and he made our trip one to remember!
Olivia 5.0Ollie and Rach were great to communicate with! The van was a dream, my partner and I loved the little touches like the fairy lights, wooden bench, towels for us to use, and felt like there was adequate space to fit all of our belongings without being super cramped. Would definitely hire off Ollie and Rach again!

Grant 5.0Fiona met us at Christchurch Airport for both the pick-up and drop-off of the campervan, which made everything so easy. Our group included five adults, all the boys over six feet tall and the vans layout was perfect, especially with the two permanent bunk beds at the rear that comfortably accommodated taller travellers. The campervan was a pleasure to drive, and we enjoyed an incredible journey spanning more than 2000 kilometres. Our adventure took us from Christchurch to Lake Tekapo, Mount Cook, Queenstown, Milford Sound, Wnaka, Franz Josef, Arthurs Pass, and back to Christchurch. The campervan performed flawlessly throughout the trip, and we created memories that will last a lifetime. Fiona was a fantastic host, and I would have no hesitation recommending her campervan for your own unforgettable New Zealand holiday.
Matt and Mel 5.0The Wanderer is a fantastic larger campervan perfect for a couple or small family who want that extra space plus that ready to go bedroom which doesn't require any setup. The Wanderer was easy to drive and very comfortable to travel in as a passenger. The blinds completely close in the space at night and the option of two sets of lights allows for a relaxing atmosphere at night. Although we didn't cook inside theres an oven and gas hob. We did use the BBQ which was very easy to set up and kept cooking smells outside. The bed is super comfy and as Im over 6 foot I found I had plenty of room without my feet hanging over the edge. Beven was detailed on the handover and he worked hard over an Easter weekend to get the fridge fixed as we travelled around the Hawkes Bay. We had a great 6 day holiday in The Wanderer and are definitely planning another one later in the year - or when diesel prices return to a sane level again.

Louise 5.0Daisy was very comfortable and the facilities were as described. We were warm and dry, and were able to cook and make our morning coffee. She drove well and we had a great trip despite inconsistant weather..

Manon 5.0We had a fantastic family holiday! Manu's Campervan was great, it had everything we needed. We loved having the freedom to just stop anywhere and have a cooked lunch or a coffee or for the kids to go to the toilet. Manu responded to all my questions really quick, which was great as we had some trouble filling up the tank with water but it turned out we just needed to be patient and let it overflow until the air passes. We will book his campervan again for our next holiday.
