In my many years of experience as a motorhome driver, my assessment may be somewhat stricter, but it should be understood constructively: Exchanging information to be prepared for the trip e.g. what power outlets are available - USB-C or USB 2.0 are available proved difficult and left for us the impression that Ruth was not the owner of the van. During handover Ruth informed us that AC is not working. Its repair would cost much money and we should instead keep the windows open during driving. As we hired the car during spring season the temperatures were moderate, but as also the ventilation didnt work, the windows inside became wet in particular when it rained during the night or when clothes were wet. So we required much Zewa Each door of the mobile home required a different key. Although Ruth emphasized to keep always a key with us when leaving the car we looked ourselves out of the car in the middle of the night at remote area during our 2nd night. Thanks to very helpful people we knocked on their door close to midnight we spent a night at their premises and next day thanks to Camplifys support we managed wit the assistance of a car service company to get back into the car. The duvet cover didnt match the duvet perfectly. We bought a few additional camping items we missed and we considered as essential, e.g. toilet brush, cork trivets , salad bowl, ice cube maker, trash can for the toilet, that Ruth refused to reimburse once we returned the car saying I cannot people allow to take my money. Overall it was good that we had made already experience in camping, a few items were missing that we purchased additionally and left to the owner, hoping it will be of benefit for the next renter.

Hired Janey for 2 week South Island trip. Ruth was a great communicator, answering several of my queries leading up to the trip. She welcomed us very warmly and gave a great handover. The van had everything we needed. Lots of spare, linen/ towels and an extra doona. Plenty of kitchen utensils etc and condiments, coffee, tea. Everything worked great. Lots of fun on our first ever camper trip. Thanks again for everything Ruth

We had an amazing 10-day campervan adventure across New Zealands stunning South Island with Tarzan, our trusty van. Traveling from Christchurch to Wanaka, Queenstown, and Milford Sound before looping back, we were constantly in awe of the breathtaking landscapes. The campervan itself was a joywell-equipped with fresh bed linens, towels, and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Sleeping was cozy, and driving Tarzan was surprisingly smooth, even for a first-time campervan driver like me! A huge shoutout to Ruth for her exceptional hospitality. She provided clear instructions, seamless airport transfers, and even a delightful mini-tour of Woodend Township. Her communication was excellent, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Ruth! Well definitely be back for another adventure with Tarzan!
