Our motorhome is fitted out with everything you will need for your escape, from linen to towels, cutlery, dinnerware and wine glasses, cooking condiments, insect repellent and a small BBQ that can be neatly set up on the back bike rack. We have a simple camp table and chair set up that’s good for 4 people, plus five camp chairs and two low beach chairs. We have fishing rods, a boogie board, board games and beach toys. There is a large floor mat to go under your awning or to take to the beach or a picnic spot. These extras are all provided with no additional fees. For an additional fee we can provide baby seats, booster seats, a baby moses basket or a porta cot for an infant to sleep in. We are open to considering requests for small pets on a case by case basis.

Hiring rules

• • EMERGENCY If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. Call the owner on 021 688690, and failing that call Camplify on 0800 779 779 to request for roadside assistance. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 0800 779 779.
• • DAMAGE If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when will be required.
• • NO OFFROAD / NO Beach Driving / NO Extended Gravel Roads (no more than around five kilometres) / NO Smoking inside
• • UNSEALED roads must be preapproved in writing in Camplify Messages before the trip begins. Please be familiar with the exclusions, terms and conditions of the booking and your Camplify insurance.
• • NO FESTIVALS
• ROAD USER CHARGES of 9c per km apply to this diesel vehichle.
• • CLEANING Clean the motorhome, equipment and the BBQ if used. Excessive cleaning will incur a further cleaning charge of up to $100.00.
• • RV GAS Return FULL refilled from petrol stations.
• • COOKING – please use the extractor fan, and open the kitchen window to ensure good ventilation.
• • TOP AIR VENTS – must be closed whilst driving
• • TABLE – must be stowed whilst driving
• • FISH BAIT – please do not store fish bait in our fridge/freezer. Use your own cooler.
• • AWNING – damage to the awning from high winds is NOT covered by your insurance. If the forecast is for wind, please stow the awning before leaving the motorhome or going to sleep. Awning damage can be very expensive to fix.
• • LOW TREES AND OVERHEAD OBSTRUCTIONS – beware of overhead obstructions because overhead damage to the motorhome is NOT covered in your insurance. The motorhome is 3m high, and there is expensive solar equipment overhead that is easily damaged.
• • FUEL Return full of DIESEL All hires include a full tank upon departure.
• • TOILET CASSETTE and GREY WATER – please empty these in an appropriate Public Dump Station (refer to CamperMate app). Please ensure these are empty and clean upon return or a $200.00 cleaning fee will apply.
• • INSURANCE – please note the limitations in Camplify’s insurance coverage for hirers:
• Hirers must also keep in mind there are ways to breach the rental contract which will render them liable for ALL costs of repairs, replacement, or damage caused. This includes but is not limited to:
• Breaches of contract
• • Overhead Damage
• • Underbody Damage
• • An unauthorised driver using the equipment
• • Operating the equipment without a valid drivers license
• • Continuing to use the equipment while damaged unroadworthy, or unsafe
• • Use in prohibited areas include: roads that are prone to flooding or are flooded; beaches, streams, rivers, creeks, dams and floodwaters
• • Using Equipment that is not specially built for off road activity by the manufacturer in an off road environment

  As a family of 5, we had a perfect 36 days holiday in Holly and Simons motorhome! We had plenty of living and space. They provided us with beach and shower towels, outdoor table and chairs, a BBQ, kids toys and toiletery essentials. They even greeted us with a bottle of wine and chocolate! The motorhome itself was comfy and well maintained, and Holly quickly and kindly helped us out when a mechanical trouble happened on the road. We appreciated her help. I strongly recommend this hire. We enjoyed both islands greatly in part because of Holly, Simon and their great Sol Escape van!

  We had an epic tour of the north island of NZ in comfort. Lots of great sights and freedom camps suitable to this van along our travels. It was easy to adjust the table and seating to a bed in the evenings for our little one. The van highlight for our family was parking up in a great spot and soaking in the view from the bed out the large back window - was a perfect spot to lounge and stare out the window, read a book and relax.

  We had an amazing time in Holly's and Simon's camper van. The communication & the pick-up at Auckland airport went very smoothly. Simon and Holly are very nice people and really went the extra mile :) The camper itself is a well equipped big camper, which is well maintained and offered lots of space to store our things. It was also easy to drive it. The bed was very comfy and much more comfortable than most hotel beds in our opinion. With a big water tank we did not have to refill it 2-3x through our 3-week holiday. Also nice was the solar panel, with which we did not have to use any plugged sites, while being able to always charging our phoney, tablets and even laptops. We can highly recommend to rent this camper van of Holly and Simon and in combination with using the DOC sites and freedom camping (Camper Mate), you will have an exceptional holiday in New Zealand.

  We were privileged to have Sol for just under two months and it gave us a fantastic opportunity to see both North and South Islands of New Zealand. Great and relaxing to drive with extras provided by Holly and Simon just made it so easy to use wherever we went. We did over 5000km in Sol and never missed a beat.   We (Bart, Ingrid and little baby Jolie from the Netherlands) had a perfect 3 month holiday thanks to Simon and Holly. They were really a key factor to our trip due to their great hospitality and unbelievable kindness. When we arrived (a day before the cyclone Gabrielle), they offered us to come earlier to Hamilton for pickup and to stay on their property to shelter during the storm. We could even join dinner during those days and make use of their facilities. Regarding the campervan, it is very neat and spacious and we didn't have any complaints about it. When we had questions, Simon was always there to help us out and provide us with answers. I could go on for a while with all the positive experiences we had with Simon and Holly and their campervan, but I think the main point is clear, they are just really nice, trustworthy people with a perfect campervan.
