You will be driving and living in my crafted handmade campervan, with all you need to get the best of your adventure around South Island. "... What does Tiaki mean? Tiaki means to care for people and places. New Zealanders have a special connection to the land, and want to help visitors travel safely and conscientiously..." As soon you jump in Tiaki, you will feel the beauty of the simple, minimalist lifestyle, and the easy connection with nature. Tiaki was built with mostly reclaimed, re-used, and pre-loved materials; yes, was a long building journey that I enjoyed and learned a lot, so please feel free to ask me, How I make it? ... I'm happy to share :) How to van life Tiaki? - Smooth to drive, with plenty of windows for better visibility, so drive safe and always take the scenic road ;) - Parking and setting your camping spot will be easy because Tiaki has two slide doors, which make a huge difference with multiple options. - Sleep time, you will be able to watch the stars because the bed is on the same level as all the windows or full privacy by putting down all curtains around the van. - Cooking time, just fold down the blue timber with the Gas Camping Stove ready to use. For security please remove the gas bottle after using it. For your convenience, You can cook from the outside or inside. - Chilling time, Tiaki feels huge inside with plenty of free space and multiple setups for your days, you are welcome to discover the "couch" just fold down the driver seat to the front and seat over the timber bench, facing the kitchen and bed. Slide out the "coffee table", a re-used beer crate with a lid, and you will have a small central table or an extra seat :) Please let me know if you have any questions in advance or see you soon with Tiaki :) Happy van life! * SURFBOARD and SKATEBOARD are just for the picture and are not included in the rental. * SHOWER. There Is a portable solar shower bag, recommended to use during the summer season. * FUEL - Return full of PETROL - All hires include a full tank upon departure. *No smoking inside. *No drive offroad.

Pricing

Hire Fee: From $100.00 per day
Service fee: $149.00

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

We loved our time with Tiaki. We travelled a lot of the South Island during our 3 weeks with it and yes, its an old heart and you need some gear switching when going uphill but otherwise it had all we needed. The water runs without a pump and the fridge-box works with a second battery, so you can go on non-powered sites if you wanna go on a camp site. Franco responded within minutes, was super helpful and lovely. Would recommend!

The perfect little van for our holiday on the South Island. It had everything we needed! Along with some helpful bits like tea, coffee, sugar to get us started! Thank you Franco for an easy rental experience. Definitely recommend!

The van is very comfortable, the kitchen is super good, the van has a lot of storage space for food. We really enjoyed our week living in there as in a cozy house. Franco is very nice and he has thought about every single detail to make life there really comfortable. Also having the camping chairs and table is a extra plus. Driving the van feels super easy and comfy. We really didn't miss anything. We definetly recommend It for a road trip in the amazing South Island!

We had Tiaki for 2 weeks and it was amazing. There is enough space inside and everything we needed was provided. Franco was also amazing and we would book with him again :)

We had such a great time with Tiaki! Franco made the pickup process so easy and was incredibly helpful in showing us around the van and giving us recommendations on campsites around where we were headed. We really enjoyed being able to relax and cook in the van, even when it was pouring rain outside! We cant recommend Franco enough, we had such a fun time.
