In November we did the complete interior to transform our van into a cute looking self-contained one. It has only got 180xxx km on the road. We have been more than happy travelling the last month in it. The van contains a comfortable couch that can be transformed into a 140x190cm bed. My boyfriend is 6.3 and can sit in it comfortably. We both fit on the couch easily even when it is not transformed into a bed. The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker (plus cartridges), cutlery, dinnerware, pans and pots. There are fresh and waste water containers under the sink equipped with an automatic tap. Under the bed and in the shelf you’ll find enough storage space. The van even disposes of a small fridge and oven you can use when staying on powered sites. To charge your electronic devices, there are two batteries with a just recently bought inverter connected to multiple outputs you can always use. For the van to be self contained, it disposes of a portable toilet that’s never been used though.

Additional information

Since we just did the entire interior ourselves it is decisive for us that we can trust you with our van we put so much time and effort in. It is a 20 year old car that still drives perfectly but needs to be treated carefully. Please try to return it the way we are handing it to you since we give our best to make your time in the “firetruck” as amazing as when we stay in it. IMPORTANT: Please note that by January we will already be heading south! If you’d like to hire the van after Christmas, we won’t be able to deliver it to Auckland but would love to meet up on the east coast (Gisborne/Napier area). Please just contact us for any more details!

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

My boyfriend and I are both 20 and from Germany. We are currently spending 10 months in NZ. To be able to travel around, we bought a (now) self contained van. Every few months we work for a few weeks and love to share our cute camper van with others who enjoy discovering NZ as much as we do.
