The Kārearea is built and equipped for a family, but does an equally good job for a couple that wants some more headspace. It has three double beds and 6 seatbelts. For families with children we can provide carseats, a travel cot and a high chair plus other things you might need, without extra costs. We also have two good quality adult mountainbikes (+ locks, helmets and tools) that we can mount for you. You can take one well-behaved dog with you, too. The Kārearea is all ready for you to hop in and hit the road with camping chairs, a folding table, bed linen, towels, all the crockery and cutlery you'll need and cooking and cleaning staples. The Kārearea also comes with a powerful diesel heater and airconditioning so you can use it year-round and it has extra large solar panels with a quality inverter to keep you going off the grid. Recently, it has had a thorough mechanical update, ensuring a hassle-free trip. Its well-balanced engine gives you a smooth drive for this class of motorhomes. We can discuss a pick up and drop off service at Auckland International Airport and happily offer our support to get going in New Zealand; including travel tips from our own adventures in this stunning country.

The motorhome is dog-friendly, but smoke-free. We're reinvesting the fees in the motorhome to make it better every trip. For that, we'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback after you've taken it out. No worries, the motorhome is fully functioning already!

Hiring rules

  • One wellbehaved dog is allowed @$40.00/booking
  • Since it's a diesel, fuel taxes are charged separately @$0.09/km, to be charged upon return.
  • No cooking of heavily spiced food inside the motorhome.
  • An additional cleaning fee of $100.00 applies if the motorhome is returned untidily.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    The motorhome was exactly as described. It is equiped with everything you need. The motorhome is roomy and goes extremely well. As this was our first experience with a motorhome, Sven was really helpful and explained everything carefully. We have had a great couple of weeks. Thank you so much!
