Hiring rules

  • **No Smoking**:
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle.
  • **Geographical Restrictions**:
  • Guests are not allowed to leave the South Island.
  • Oneway hire is not permitted.
  • Offroad, beach driving, extended gravel roads, skifield access roads, Skippers Canyon Road, and festival locations are prohibited.
  • ### PickUp and DropOff
  • Guests must adhere to their scheduled pickup or dropoff times. Failure to do so will result in a late fee of $150.00.
  • Standard pickup/dropoff hours are between 9 AM and 6 PM. Dropoffs after 6 PM will incur an additional day’s rental charge unless prior arrangements are made.
  • ### Additional Charges
  • **Road User Charges**:
  • In addition to the daily rental rate, a charge of 0.09 cents per kilometer will apply. Note that diesel fuel is typically cheaper at the pump, but it excludes the road user tax.
  • ### Emergency Protocols
  • If any engine warning lights activate on the dashboard, pull over immediately. In the event of an accident, move to a safe location, and contact Camplify at 0800 779 779.
  • ### Damage Reporting
  • Any damage must be reported right away. Details of the incident including who was involved, what occurred, where it happened, and when will be required. If possible, include a police report.
  • ### Equipment Storage
  • There is no designated storage for ski or snowboard equipment in the van. However, underbed storage can be utilised during transit. Ensure that your sports equipment is securely stored.
  • ### Ski Field Access
  • The vehicle should not be driven on skifield access roads. It is advisable to use the transportation services provided by the ski fields you plan to visit to avoid getting stuck.
  • ### Road Usage Approval
  • Any travel on unsealed roads must receive written approval from Camplify Messages prior to the trip. Familiarise yourself with booking terms and conditions.
  • ### Fuel Policy
  • Return the vehicle with a full tank of diesel; it will be provided to you with a full tank upon pickup.
  • ### Cleaning Guidelines
  • Please dispose of rubbish properly and recycle when applicable. The vehicle should be cleaned internally and externally before return to avoid a cleaning fee. If travelling with pets, ensure all pet hair is removed.
  • ### Toilet Use Policy
  • The onboard toilet should only be used when absolutely necessary. Plan accordingly. If used, please empty the cassette at a designated dump station or toilet and clean it thoroughly. A $300.00 charge will apply if not emptied and cleaned.
  • ### Cooking Gas (LPG)
  • Cooking gas is included in your hire. If you run out, you may refill at a petrol station, keep the receipt, and you will be reimbursed.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Had a fantastic get away in Athena. Had everything we needed, Blanche is lovely, very accomodating and showed us how to use everything. Would love to hire again a great van and easy to drive and set up
