Just back from our 12 day tour of South Island in Kims campervan. Everything ran super smooth and Kim was so lovely to deal with. His communication was excellent throughout our journey and was contactable whenever we needed. Kim has the van equipped for everything you might need while on the road. I would 100% recommend Kims camper for your NZ road trip!

Kims van was fantastic. The bed is comfortable and there is heaps of storage to store everything you need for the whole trip. Kim is easily contactable and the van drives like a car. Couldnt ask for more!

We absolutely had a great time traveling with the Rolling retreat up and down the South Island. The van runs smoothly and is easy to drive, even for a European who has never driven on the left and who has never used an automatic gearbox before. Kim was very helpful and communicative always responding quickly. The fridge worked very well. I liked cooking with the gas stove. It worked well, even in difficult/windy/rainy conditions. Of course, with one burner you have to keep things simple. We travelled with friends who more or less had a similar setup and cooking together made fine dining possible even in the great outdoors of the South Island. We were lucky to have excellent weather for three weeks. So we lived outdoors and did not have to eat or spend live inside. That would have been difficult. Sleeping for us was a bit difficult. In general, we are light sleepers. When turning and tossing around on the mattress consisting of 7 pieces you quickly find yourself on the wood. Kim told us he was aware of the problem and that he had a solution in the works. I am sure he will take care of it. All in all, an experience worth repeating.

We had an amazing trip around the South Island of New Zealand in the Dream Drifter van. The camper van is as described and shown in the photos. The van has plenty of storage. We had no issues with the van and the pick up and drop off with Kim and Tj was easy. Kim was very responsive and it was easy to make arrangements with him. Camping around the South Island is truly a unique experience and I would highly recommend renting from Kim and Tj for your camper needs.

A great, clean, comfortable van for 2. Easy to drive and fuel efficient! Kim was very easy to communicate with and explained everything in detail at the handover. We we hire from Kim again on our next trip to the beautiful NZ!

Kim is the most friendly and helpful person, and I highly recommend hiring a van from him. Unfortunately I had a small "hiccup" at the very beginning of the trip, but thankfully Kim went over and above to make me feel better and make sure this did not impact our holiday. I feel it's times like that where it really pays to be able to rent from such an honest and kind person. The van was exactly as described and certified self contained, perfect for our 2 week roadtrip. Being a much newer van but also more compact compared to the others on camplify, it was very easy to drive and very reliable. Another thing to note is the toilet is more of a formality and not used by us or any previous guests - something we actually really liked as it is next to the bed. The kitchen area was very functional and the fridge worked perfectly too. Everything was very well thought out and you can tell that Kim has used his experience from his own travels to fine tune his van builds to be extremely practical. Highly recommend!
