Perfect experience with Big John! We traveled around the South Island for two and a half months with Big John and he was absolutely perfect. Spacious, comfortable, and luxurious it truly felt like we were driving around in a private suite on wheels. It had everything we needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to a super comfy bed, and most importantly we didnt have a single issue the entire trip. Darcy, the owner, was fantastic: super friendly, always available 24/7, and happy to help with any question or concern we had along the way. We wholeheartedly recommend!

Van drives well and very comfortable - that's only the good thing about this listing. However, we didn't had pleasant experience dealing with Darcy. We had issues related to battery system and drop-off location, fridge and Darcy didn't provide any solution. The pots/dishes/cutlery provided were soiled and full of grease. First thing we had to do was to clean them up, and bought fresh set of cutlery. Were asked to not use the portable toilet. Set aside using, the way it's setup you can't use it anyway. Promised fridge wasn't available at the time of pick-up, once raised he did buy that for us. But it wasn't functional during the trip, as battery system didn't work at all. Solution from owner, was to put a bag of ice in fridge to keep the food fresh - really? Vehicle - good Everything else - bad

Great travel with Willy, the van was well furnished and the bed is large. Perfect for travelling and discovering the South Island!

Had the most epic trip! The van was great. Great to be in a normal van to fly under the radar a little bit. Super easy communication and help along the way. Looking forward to coming back

We really enjoyed our two week vacation in the South Island. Darcys van was the perfect companion. It had just enough space to store our two backpacks and had enough space for all the food. Nice extras were the christmas lights and the two camping chairs. Most vans have the kitchen in the back, while this van has it to the side. That was great because we could park with the back to the nice view and then look outside while lying inside. In general, we never had any problems with anything. Communicating with Darcy was very easy and reliable. We can highly recommend this van.

Had a great week away in Sonny Bill. Really well equipped van and super efficient on fuel. Nice to have both a toilet and a shower - awesome pressure in shower. Van size was good for two, and not too big and cumbersome to drive around.

I couldnt have asked for a more perfect van for my trip around the South Island. Darcy made sure I had everything I needed to be prepared for the trip and provided some great recommendations on whats to do and where to go. Everything was as expected of not better, 10/10 homey vibes. I will definitely miss exploring in this van and will be sure to book again next time I am in NZ.
