We love freedom and adventure - going off hiking, biking or kayaking and then returning to 'Escape HQ' for a nice cuppa and all the comforts of home! We like keeping things in good condition, organised and uncluttered, so you will find plenty of notes on how to run 'Escape HQ' easily. The top of the south island is an absolute gem and we are so grateful to live here. You will find endless things to do whether it be the great outdoors, arts, cuisine or history and more.

Escape HQ was a fantastic van. It was spacious enough for 2 people but small enough that parking was never an issue. The van had everything we needed for an amazing 4 week trip around South Island. It coped admirably with the numerous mountain passes and winding roads we had to drive over. Kathy and Trevor were great owners - friendly, welcoming and helpful. We would hire this van again and have recommended it to our family.

Thanks for a great holiday experience! Both the travel and the hiring was so easy! Kathy & Trevor were great communicators and were always so accommodating. We highly recommend the van and the owners for a stress free holiday in NZ.
