We had a really cool 2.5-week-long trip around the South Island with Vincent. Everything went absolutely smoothly! Rodd is the nicest and most reliable host you can ask for. He picked us up from the train station before our trip and gave us a ride to the airport afterwards - for free! He tends to this vehicles meticulously, is always reachable for questions and recommendations and we really enjoyed chatting with him. We highly recommend booking with him! The van was very well equipped and met our needs just fine. (The only thing we want to point out for other travelers: Let Rodd explain to you how the radio works exactly when picking up Vicent! As the van is a Japanese import, it took us quite a while to figure out how we are able to play music via our smart phones.) Thank you Rodd and Vincent for this great adventure! We will be back. :-)

I had an amazing 8-day roadtrip with Buddy! The van has everything you need for a comfortable trip. It's very easy to drive, it has all the tools for cooking, including a table and camping chairs, and the mattress is super comfy. Rodd is one of the nicest people Ive met. He picked me up from the airport, took the time to explain everything, shared helpful tips and apps to download for the trip, and made himself available in case I needed anything - which I didnt, because everything went incredibly smoothly. If youre thinking about doing a road trip in NZ, you should definitely rent Buddy! It will be an adventure of a lifetime - the south island is stunning!

Rodd is an angel! We rent Hercules for 3 weeks and had the best Roadtrip. The Van is really reliable and well equiped. The driving experience ist excellent and gas consumption is really low. We could reach Rodd anytime and he took care of us all the time. He is a lovely human beeing and gave us a lot of great recommendations. Thanks you Rodd for the great time! As seasoned road trippers, weve used a fair few campers now and Buddy has quite easily been our favourite so far. Third van of this trip and the only one where everything just worked. Good storage, brilliant layout and nothing crammed in taking up space without a use. Rodd is amazing - builds the vans himself and it shows in the little details. Very responsive if you need anything before / during the booking. He also kindly helped with pick up and dropped us exactly where we needed to be after which made life very easy. The bed fit us for two adults. Im 62 and slept comfortably for 2 weeks. If youre taller it might be tight but for most people its ideal. It handles really well on mountain roads, cruise control is great on longer drives and having Bluetooth makes the road trips better. We had a great time in Buddy and would happily book with Rodd again. Already recommended to friends planning a South Island trip.

The Van was great. It had everything we needed. It is a compact versions, but it's great: * Bed is comfortable * It has a green sticker * It has electric water pump * All cooking utensils you need We drove 5k km with it in 5 weeks and we were very happy with it. Rodd was really helpful and pleasent guy. I recommend renting this van.

We rented Hercules for our five week NZ adventure and had the best time. It contains all you need. Rodd has got several Vans to rent. We can definitely recommend renting his Campervans. He was very helpful, friendly and replied quickly. Thanks to Rodd again!

We had a really good time exploring the South Island with Buddy. It is quite a fuel efficient van with decent storage underneath the bed. Rodd has been very accommodating as well and picked us up from the airport despite our very late flight. The van is certified self-contained which made it easy to get into any of the campgrounds.

The van was great. It drove really well, with cruise control being great on south island roads. The bed in the van was super comfortable. It also had everything needed for a great stay. Rodd was fantastic - really helpful and a great guy. Thank you for all of the help!
