Easy to deal with communication was excellent didnt meet Fiona in person but husband did handover. Great caravan warm with gas heating everything you need to explore our great country. Caravan was clean and tidy for its age, handover on pickup and drop off was easy.

We hired this van however ended up with Fionas other listing Comfortable Jane. So we cant speak for Golden Oldie but we were really happy with the van given the very low price in comparison to others. It had everything we needed for our 10 day trip and was great to drive. Pick up and handover was straightforward. Would recommend if youre on a budget! We also found lots of cheap/free campsites to stay at as non-self contained

Very kind and friendly people, that luckily were able to have me use their other van while the one (the one I actually booked) was unable to be used due to it needing a repair. That was incredibly kind and I was happy with the van. It was a nice drive and the car (Golden Oldie) was reliable (and I loved the skylight!). The handover was a bit messy though as they thought I was supposed to show up a day later. The car wasnt completely fueled up (but I also didnt have to fuel it entirely up when giving it back) and I had to clean the plates, pans and cutlery because the previous people left it not as clean as I had hoped. There was also supposed to be 40 liters of water in there, but there wasnt. Still I would recommend hiring this van, because the owners were lovely people and Im sure with that little bit of extra effort, this rental could be perfect!

Hi Fiona, following your plans to make a claim against us can you send a picture, of where there was damage when we picked it up. If its from the microwave falling off that is because it wasnt screwed on properly when we picked it up. If there is a claim from you we will put in a claim for oven not working, only one hob worked, water pump didnt work, the water hose leaked, the sink top tap leaked, the door handle on the front door was bluetacked together, the skylights fell open, the curtains fell off, not all lights worked, the sliding table didnt work, one knife and one fork (we had to buy some) the fridge didnt keep food cold so we threw food out and just used our chilli bin, microwave not attached ( as above) 3 hour wait on pickup (no compensation) blackout screen broken above bed. The door to the toilet was stuck and had to be lifted, the heater didnt work and no instructions given on how to work it. Tyres were at low pressure 20 not 40 which was dangerously for towing, the jockey wheel fell down while we were towing the caravan. As you didnt do proper inspections pre and post pickup and drop off ( no damage was pointed out to us) this seems to be a bogus claim and we will refute it. We actually expected some kind of refund given the shocking state of the caravan. Happy to discuss further. I look forward to resolving this amicably.

Fiona was very helpful, and the van was amazing. It was exactly what we needed, and the handover process was simple and efficient. We will definitely reach out again the next time we are looking for a van to rent!

This minivan was quite disappointing from beginning to end. When browsing for camper vans prior to our trip, we were delighted to find one at a reasonable price with storage on the roof. Our first let down of this trip was when we went to pick up the van. We were told that the storage unit up top would not open because the owners had lost the key. We had to store all of our belongings on our bed. When given the van, the exterior and interior were very dirty and we were told that we needed to have it cleaned before we returned it. That would have been fine except for the fact that the state of the van given to us was not clean at all. We still did our best to clean it even though we could not drive it through a car wash due to the unusable storage unit attached to the top of the van. We were also given a very small and fragile key to turn the van off and on because the owners had misplaced the other half of the key. We also opened the sink and told the owners that it was leaking onto the bed. Their solution was to tape the leak. The leak continued through the tape and got our bed wet for the rest of the trip. As soon as we drove away with the van, everything rattled and shook because of how unsecured everything was in the van including the sink, stove, bed, pots, pans, and utensils falling everywhere. When we arrived ant our first campsite, we began to cook dinner. We found that all of our cookware and utensils were dirty with old crusted food on them. There was also milk left in the van that expired two years ago. After that, we set up camp and came to find that only half the bed was supported. Part of the bed behind the passengers side was completely unsupported and my partner kept sliding off the bed. We had to share the half of the bed that was supported which was smaller than a twin size bed. It was so uncomfortable we ended up booking hotels for the rest of the week. If you are wanting to book this vehicle due to its low price, please save yourself the trouble and book a nicer van. We would have spent less money if we rented the nicer camper van instead of this janky van.

Everything was great. The car was clean and sleeping was comfortable. It even has the grill for BBQ even though we didn't use it. Fiona and her husband were nice. After returning the car, she gives us a ride to the bus station which was a lovely gesture. Thank you.

The van was comfy and easy to drive. If you don't need much while traveling, it has all the basic equipments. If you are two, you may want to rent the roof storage too to put your stuff.
