This van was perfect for our North island travels, we had no issues at all and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the higher ceilings are very convenient. We couldnt recommend Hazy campers enough!! Great experience

We had a great trip in this van, it was our third time getting a van from Camplify and this was the best one yet. Really spacious, easy to drive and had everything we needed. We will happily rent one of Adams Hazy vans again in the future

In planning our New Zealand North Island camping trip we literally searched online for days for the right fit smaller camper van for our journey. We didnt want a big vehicle as we knew many of the places we wanted to explore journeyed through narrow and winding roads. However, some of the prices, on older vehicles, made it more feasible to stay in hotels. Then, we stumbled upon Camplify, and subsequently found HAZY CAMPERS. Camplify takes care of the admin, identifications, insurance options, all online. Adam was our contact at Hazy Campers, and he was GREAT. Messages were returned within hours, if not immediately, with the questions always answered the first time. Upon picking up our rental, Adam met us at their location (on his day off) at the time agreed to. The Toyota Hightop camper literally looked brand new (although it was a 2019) and it was absolutely spotless, in and out. NEW fresh linens were provided (including a duvet and very comfortable pillows), as were 2 HAZY towels, and mugs, as gifts (the Hazy camper way). The kitchen was perfectly equipped with settings for 4, cleaning supplies, and garbage bags. Also including 2 pans and a butane gas cooking stove. 2 camping chairs and a table were provided with our rental (included in the price, not extra) which allowed us to leave the bed made all the time. The bed was surprisingly very comfortable, and easily accommodated 2 adults. We also noted the toilet was accessible when the bed was made, which met all the requirements of the Self-Contained freedom camping guidelines. Black out curtains kept the camper private and cooler during the day. We found there to be lots of storage, however we were only travelling with carry on baggage, not larger suitcases. Gas mileage was good, but youre not driving a BMW here, so up hill was a bit slower, and obviously to be expected. The vehicle was easy to drive and the radio and Bluetooth worked great. In fact, everything worked great on the camper, in large part due to solar panels, and lithium batteries, that allowed up to freedom camp for 3 and 4 days at a time. All of this, at a price point substantially less that their competitors ($1400 NZD less in our case for a 14 night rental). And when we returned the camper, we forgot a small back pack, which Adam returned to our stay in Auckland, that afternoon so that we didnt have to grab a cab in rush hour traffic. EXCEPTIONAL service all the way! Thanks again Adam. Also noted, we are a gay couple, and found the HAZY and Adam to be very LGBTQ+ friendly. Adam and Hazy Campers, THANK YOU for your exceptional customer service (that alone is worth 5 stars) and making our North Island adventure exceptional! Our holiday in the van was amazing, and we had no problems with anything on or in the van. It really looks like the pictures, drove like expected and everything worked as it should, all the time. Loved the raised roof, as I'm about 1.94 cm tall (6"4) and I could stand up in the van. It also makes it feel even more spacious. Through the whole process Adam was very helpful, though I had a million questions regarding everything from the van to insurance, he always answered quickly and did everything he could to help and assist. Getting the camper van and delivering it went smoothly, and without any problems. Finally, the people behind the company seem like good folks, and the prices on the vans are a good value, compared to what you get at other rental companies. We travelled from Auckland all the way to Milford Sound and back. The experience was absolutely wonderful. The van and all its equipment was quite new, everything worked as expected. During cold nights the bedding kept us warm which was a great plus. The van was accepted on all sorts of campsites, never had any troubles with it. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Hazycampers enough! Hazy is a superbly well tought out bus, we are going to miss her like crazy. We lived in her for 4,5 weeks and went all the way from Auckland to the Milford Sounds and back again without a single problem. The solarpanel and extra battery make sure that there is no need for staying at powered sites (saving us heaps), we never ran out of power and the 40 ltr watertank can easily last you several days. So freedom camping is no problem. The bed is very comfortabel (even for my hushband of 1,95 meter). And the best part she is an automatic, so driving is easy! Besides that Hazy is a great bus, the owners of Hazycampers are fantastic! We had a little accident in the bus and they were very friendly about it. Seriously, if you want a van for touring New Zealand, look no further. Weve seen allot of them on our trip and the Hazys are truly the best! Adam and Ben, thank you for making our trip in New Zealand so memorable and good luck with HazyCampers.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Adam was extremely quick to respond, no matter what day/time. The van was spotless and had everything we could of needed included. All bed sheets and towels were brand new too which is always nice. Was able to connect our phones to play music and also had unlimited kms. Will 100% be using Hazy if we ever visit again.

We had the best trip in our Hazy van! Adam was super friendly and helpful, always replied to our messages promptly. The van was clean and had everything we needed. It was the most affordable option and turned out the best. Definitely recommend!

Loved the van - it was classy and dependable. We loved that all the equipment was either new or near-new, not all junked and dirty from wear and tear. We felt so clean and cosy in there, our own private and portable hotel suite with everything we needed for a carefree adventure. Especially loved having a great fridge and solar power: such a treat to travel across NZ with ice cream in the freezer and cold beer at hand. Five stars.
