The van we booked was changed at the last minute, which was partly good as Rory has a bike rack ok for 2 bikes. Petra added in bedding as compensation but unfortunately this was unusable as smelly and stained old pillows. From the outset the van started intermittently and brake warning lights came on, the toilet flush didnt work, neither did 2 rings on the hob and the windscreen washer , sidelight bulb missing and brake lights intermittent. 2 days later , a Saturday, we had to call roadside assistance. Monday, with no assistance from camplify or Petra, was spent phoning and driving around garages looking for help. After 2 days in a garage in Queenstown we were finally on our way Thursday. Unfortunately that was not the end of our troubles- the toilet cassette did not have a lid so, on the rolling hills , contents spilled out with the obvious resultant smells. Then, unless on hookup, leisure battery rapidly dropped power so unable to put on heating or heat water and by the end of an evening, turning the tap on caused the lights to go out. Another garage visit told us 1 of 2 batteries was on the way out, removing it did not solve the problem. Thus we were unable to freecamp as much as we had planned for and things were not as relaxing as we had hoped.. Nevertheless the van got us round the south island , which, being a stunning place, we had a great time enjoying the outdoors.

What an amazing holiday! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip in Homer. Everything was perfect and all worked well. No complaints at all. And Petra was amazing during pick up and drop off. Would hire Homer again in a heartbeat! Great value for money!

The van was in very good condition. Chassis, engine and electrics very well maintained, we had rented the rv for over five weeks and had no problems at all. It is very spacious and is wonderful to drive thanks to the automatic transmission. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. There was enough room for two adults and two children to move around freely. The mattresses are very comfortable and not pieced, but continuous. And we slept very well. The contact with Petra was outstanding, she is a very sympathetic, reliable and friendly host.

We had the prefect holiday in Petra's campervan Homer. Everything was like new and it was so easy to drive. Petra was quick to reply to any Qs we had and was so friendly and helpful. We were only a couple so had loads of room and kept one bed made-up which was easier. But it is so spacious it would be great for a family too. We were in love with Homer by the end of our 4 week tour of South Island and felt sad to leave it! Thanks Petra for making it such a fun time for us with your wonderful Campervan and support.

Rory was an absolute star - we went over a couple of mountain passes and he never skipped a beat - plenty of pep and just the thing for our wee trip away.

The holiday was awesome. We travelled the lower half of the South Island over ten days without any issues. Two adults and 3 young kids had plenty of space in Rory. Would highly recommend Petra.

Petra was very accommodating, easy-going and prompt in answering my queries. Car was well maintained and as per the pictures. Linen provided was great and a thorough briefing was provided during the handover. Would definitely recommend this to people who want to try out a camper van for a couple of days.

We enjoyed our South Island trip in this campervan (Homer) a lot. The communication with Petra was super easy. She replied super fast and was super helpful whenever we needed something. The van was very tidy and spacious. Everything in a great condition and made our camping life so easy. Absolutely loved it and would do it again!
