Van is comfortable and well set up, you need to be confident in a diesel manual to get around. Pick up close to city. Owner is great.

This van is comfortable to drive with nice cruiser seats, but a bit sluggish on steeper roads (ok, it's a van, not a race car!). The bed is large and very comfortable, and works well as a double couch (w table) during the day. Comes with a good fridge, hot & cold water sink, stove, o/h storage cupboards, and an alcove for luggage & bedding. Everything easy to use, and plenty of detailed written instruction provided by Patrick. Brakes and air-con needed a service, but ok. A reversing mirror (or camera!) and some extra storage (eg mesh cargo sacks) would be a bonus. Overall good value hire

Trusty lived up to its name and was comfortable for the two weeks of my holiday. Patrick the owner was helpful and obliging and I would hire again.

We were disappointed that we were only advised a few days before we picked up the van that we couldnt use the awning which was very inconvenient. There were only Flysreens on 1 window which was torn. The other window would not open and the ceiling vent had no flyscreen cover either. Everything else worked well enough and we enjoyed our holiday in the van.

The van has everything you need for a nice camping holiday. It is well equipped and was very reliable. The only thing that was a bit disturbing is the fact that the van needs to be connected to mains power every 2-3 days, even when driving around. This might be a problem for people who only want to use freedom campsites without electricity. Patrick is a very friendly host and showed us every detail, so we were very well instructed when we hit the road.

Had a great week travelling the northern part of the North Island in Trusty. The perfect fit for the two of us; not too big ,not too small, and very comfortable indeed . Pat was great in his explanation of all the features of Trusty and the offer of support if we needed it in our travels. Will definitely be looking to book Trusty next time we are over the ditch.

Fab trip and, apart from a camping kettle, had everything needed. You do have to 'drive' the van as it is quite old and only has 5 gears and no cruise control but, apart from that, great
