Happy Day Vans was created with one simple idea: to help our guests enjoy truly happy days while exploring New Zealand. Were a small, family-run campervan business based near Auckland, close to the beautiful Waitkere Ranges. Having travelled extensively and even lived in a van ourselves we know that the best adventures come from freedom, simplicity and time in nature. Were an international family, originally from Germany and Argentina, and we love welcoming travellers from all over the world. Were happy to offer vehicle handovers in English, German or Spanish (and a bit of Portuguese too), so you can start your journey feeling relaxed and confident. This is our way of sharing our love for travel, the open road and meaningful adventures.

Ich hatte einen super Urlaub in diesem Van. Man hat alles was man braucht und kann dank dem Zertifikat an jedem Campingplatz übernachten, auch an den kostenlosen Freedom Camps. Das Bett ist groß und gemütlich. Dank der Solarzelle und der zusätzlichen Autobatterie konnte ich über Nacht immer mein Handy/Tablet laden und tagsüber Essen+Getränke kühlen. Ich hatte den Van für 5 Wochen gebucht und alles lief problemlos und unkompliziert. Vielen Dank für die tolle Erfahrung. Gerne wieder :)

We drove the van for 11 days on the north island and want to share the really positive points of the Happy Getaway. 1. Extra Batterie for charging the phones powered by solar panel. 2. The bed is wide and big enough for large people (190cm) 3. Enough space for one big suitcase, one big bag and 2 backpackers. 4. the fridge is also powered by the solar panel and big enough. So a lot of intelligent solutions which you maybe cannot find in other cars. It was better then expected and we would take the car again. BR Jane and Swen

We traveled in the van for nearly 3 months with the family of 5. Lukas and Agnes prepared the car perfectly for us. All material we needed during the trip was provided. We had a beautiful trip with through all of new zealand with the van, fitting the 5 of us day and night. Lukas and Agnes were very helpful where ever needed. Highly recommend to rent one of their vans.

Thanks you so much Lukas for this 7 beautiful week in NZ. We have a problem with the brake during the trip. Lukas help us with the auto repair and paid everything !

Lukas and family were fantastic. The van was well equipped, and drove really well. It was clean, and had everything required. The pick up and drop off was smooth - Lukas and family could not have been more helpful.

First of all great car, well equipped, everything worked as expected and looks and feels very nice and cozy with all the wood. Lukas and his family are amazing, they helped us every step of the way, be it pick up from the train station or a coffee while waiting for the uber to the airport. Highly recommendable, easy and fast communication and great value! Dont waste your money on a heartless Juicy rental..
