Had a sensational trip using Simons van. The van is fully kitted out and able to handle all that NZs offers. Simon was a breeze to deal with and made the whole process very easy and straightforward. Fitted 4 people easily, kitchen and bathroom facilities all worked really well. Really had no dramas, would highly recommend.

We stayed in the camper for a few nights at a wedding. It was perfect!

Simon was great to deal with and pointed out everything the camper had to offer. It was my first time in a camper so i was not used to living in one. I really liked the space and the gas cooker but did not get on well with the shower (just a me thing). It drove very well and was easy to set up. I did bring along my Bluetooth speaker as there was only a monitor available. Simon tells me he is revamping the interior so it should be very nice inside for the next people. I would definitely recommend Simon's camper.

The owner was great, great communication with him. Motorhome was lovely and tidy inside and out. Great that it had a distinctive picture on it, so it was easy to identify to.

Disappointing. Although we knew we had booked an older van, we were surprised at the number of minor fixtures and fittings that were either missing or badly repaired, i.e. with faded gaffer tape and even a plaster! However the main issue was how filthy the van had been left, which we discovered after we had collected the van. This was not just from the last hire, this was deeply ingrained dirt that took several hours to clean up. The freezer had melted ice cream in it, the fridge was rusty and stained and the plates had bits of food remaining on them from previous meals. As we left Christchurch and went onto the main highway we discovered that at any speed over 80kmph there was a noticeable and intrusive whine from the vans transmission. The suspension felt worn, but we have never driven a camper van before so perhaps this is usual. On the final night, the pulley on the crankshaft of the engine fell off rendering the van undrivable. We have communicated these to the owner and used the canplfiy dispute procedure, but at time of writing (27/12/23) have had no response from camplify, and a poor response from the owner.

Most important thing to me was that Simon was readily available to answer questions when I was embarrassingly ignorant about how things worked in his van. A very patient, helpful and courteous hired. The van had everything I needed for my long weekend break.

Great experience, everything was easy to operate , the RV was nice to drive . Simon is very professional , a nice guy and easy to deal with.

Simon was a complete gentleman and wonderful host. Very accessible, proactive and knowledgeable. New Zealand was a fabulous journey for my family.
