Perfect! The contact with the owners has been enthusiastic, pleasantly involved, and quick to reply from the very first message on Camplify. When asked upon Kerryn was thinking with us about pretty much everything, from transport to/ from them, where to leave suitcases, and what the hidden gems of NZ are, Overall the contact factor has really contributed to our overall experience. For the size of the vehicle the usable space is impressive, one can still move into the toilet when another is cooking. The kitchen is royal for an RV, with proper sink and stove. Loads of storage in the upper cabinets above the dinette. Having the bed ready up top was always a blessing, no converting necessary at the end of the day. Despite this, we regularly converted the dinette into a large daybed on these occasions the views where just to awesome. The ample windows provide the perfect 180 degree view. Both beds are long enough to support even longer people, which is awesome. The bright cozy interior made us feel right at home, a far cry to most RV's from rental companies. The (casette) toilet is in a separate waterproof cubicle with a intergrated (hot) shower, an absolute life saver after a long hike or a few days freedom camping. After living in the "Oldsmobile" for 2 months and raking almost 8k,s there are off course some side notes. We found the vehicle drives more like a truck then an RV, the short wheelbase and rather substantial body make it susceptible to wind and corrugated roads. Keeping things in check require an adapted cruising speed and an alert driver, something to keep in mind when planning your trip time wise Furthermore the vehicle has little insulation. U can dress for cold or use the electric heater (220V only), but the cabin can get unconformable during warm weather conditions. Despite these cons, "The Oldsmobile" proved to be the perfect match for us, giving us a home away from home which we can heart fully recommend!

A lovely old van that helped making sure we had the vacation of our dreams! Cozy and well organized, had everything we needed. The owners helped us settle and gave us a good introduction to the van. Highest possible recommendation for this van!

We had a totally amazing trip in this vehicle over a few weeks & we would have no hesitation in saying that you should too. She (no offence meant by inferring a gender) was an absolute delight. All of the equipment you might possibly need for a great tour is in her, with plenty of storage to boot. Very, very comfortable beds, excellent cooking facilities, plenty of storage space & those wrap around windows at the back; just wonderful for the those beautiful views which, lets face it, are everywhere! Dont bother looking at those tiny vans that you see everywhere, instead, drive around NZ in something with real character that has everything youll need. You may even be mistaken for locals! If we get back down to NZ again, this is the vehicle we will be travelling in. The only downside was not booking it for the time we were on the South Island too, big mistake, but wont make it again. Thanks very much Kerryn, it was great fun to travel in her, from start to finish.
