We paid almost 300 dollars per day for this campervan, but unfortunately it caused many problems and partially ruined our experience in New Zealand. The campervan was very old, likely from the 1990s. There were problems with both the automatic and manual transmission, and on several occasions the vehicle left us stuck in traffic, which was stressful and unsafe. The air conditioning did not work properly, and the fuel gauge was not working properly. During the first few days, we also had major difficulties getting hot water, as it was not working. Only later, after speaking with the owner, did we find out that the hot water system only works if the gas stove is momentarily turned on. In addition, the grey water tank was leaking, and there was often a strong sewer smell inside the vehicle, which suggests the two issues may be connected. There were also other smaller but still important deficiencies : there was no mirror inside the campervan, no phone holder for navigation while driving, and one large curtain was missing between the front and the living area. The owner was kind, responsive, and always available when we contacted him, which we appreciated. However, much more attention should be paid to the condition and maintenance of the vehicles offered for rent. Overall, we are very unhappy with this experience, especially considering the high daily rental price.

We loved our time with Tiaki. We travelled a lot of the South Island during our 3 weeks with it and yes, its an old heart and you need some gear switching when going uphill but otherwise it had all we needed. The water runs without a pump and the fridge-box works with a second battery, so you can go on non-powered sites if you wanna go on a camp site. Franco responded within minutes, was super helpful and lovely. Would recommend!

We had a great time in Fantail and Franco was friendly and excellent to deal with. We had a puncture which was rectified quickly. Engine started first time every time and handled the Milford road well. Van was spacious. Only issue was battery not charged enough to last all night Thank you Franco.

The perfect little van for our holiday on the South Island. It had everything we needed! Along with some helpful bits like tea, coffee, sugar to get us started! Thank you Franco for an easy rental experience. Definitely recommend!

We had a great time in Kea, the van performed flawlessly and the interior is really charming, hand made and thoughtful. The engine powerful enough to cruise up the hills in NZ, and as three adults we fit just fine in the three beds. It was convenient to be able to fold away the beds and have a lot more head room as well as walking and sitting space to prepare food and sit and chat over tea next to a lake. With the sand flies in NZ it was a dream to be able to sit in the van while having dinner, instead of sitting and cooking outside. I would totally book this again, unlimited possibilities when you can drive and sleep all the way up and down the country. Franco was also very helpful in the beginning, explaining every part of the van. As someone who had never hired a van, this was very helpful and saved us a lot of head ache. I highly recommend getting a van for NZ, the freedom camping areas are beautiful and next time I think I'll be looking for Kea again. Thanks Franco!

The van is very comfortable, the kitchen is super good, the van has a lot of storage space for food. We really enjoyed our week living in there as in a cozy house. Franco is very nice and he has thought about every single detail to make life there really comfortable. Also having the camping chairs and table is a extra plus. Driving the van feels super easy and comfy. We really didn't miss anything. We definetly recommend It for a road trip in the amazing South Island!

Our holiday was the best weve ever had. The experience of traveling the South Island in a motorhome is a must do in New Zealand. Franco was an amazing host for us, helped us and provided us everything that we might need like towels, sheets, blankets, coffee and tea. Everything was working, like the hot shower, the oven, ac, heater and fridge. Everyone stop us on the way to complement the van, it was the cutest weve seen on the road, the design is so much nicer than the new ones! Been a vintage motorhome made every moment more special, and even more adventurous! Dont think twice about getting this motorhome! its very special! We decided to rent a day before and Franco was completely ready to receive us We will never forget about this experience!!! Vitor and Carol.

Our experince was fine. The van is an older lady and we had a few hiccups, but all got sorted smoothly by Camplify and Franco's communication was always quick and friendly.

We had Tiaki for 2 weeks and it was amazing. There is enough space inside and everything we needed was provided. Franco was also amazing and we would book with him again :)

We had such a great time with Tiaki! Franco made the pickup process so easy and was incredibly helpful in showing us around the van and giving us recommendations on campsites around where we were headed. We really enjoyed being able to relax and cook in the van, even when it was pouring rain outside! We cant recommend Franco enough, we had such a fun time.
