We rented Freeya the Toyata for a month to travel around the South Island and had a blast The van is incredibly well designed. The bed is more than wide enough for 2, the outdoor shower is great as a back up, and we were surprised about how much storage there was in comparison to a traditional rental van. There were lovely touches throughout and additional bits provided for us, such as tea and coffee, cleaning products, and a spice rack. In particular, the kitchen set up was brilliant. There are two hobs and an oven, meaning we were able to cook great meals almost every night. Theres also an outdoor stove for the sunny evenings and table and chairs to enjoy the sun. We loved that the solar panels meant we didnt have to think about charging the van, and could freedom camp and use unpowered sites for days at a time. Driving this van was easy and it has a surprisingly tight turning circle for all those winding roads! We did a loop of the majority of the South Island with it and it didnt let us down. We had a few hiccups at the start of the trip but I will say that John, Libby and crew were brilliantly responsive at helping us resolve them. I hadnt used camplify before and wasnt sure how the resolution process would work, but rest assured that these guys will make sure youre back on the road ASAP!

Amazing! This little bus is wonderful and has everything you could possibly need. We took it for 8 days from christchurch down to milford sound and back with plenty of stops in between and it didnt miss a beat. A comfy bed, hot water/shower and plenty of cosy lighting made our trip so much more pleasant and memorable. We ran and charged multiple devices daily and never came close to running out of battery power. It was a relief knowing we always had enough energy available to keep essential devices alive for navigation or emergency. Libby & John are incredible hosts and fantastic communicators. They made sure the van was stocked with all we needed and were very thorough on handover, making sure we knew everything we needed to know about the bus before setting off on our trip. We would absolutely hire this bus again next time round.
