I used Gens van for a family reunion on my uncles farm in the Coromandel and it couldnt been more perfect! Having a solar powered fridge was a game changer and the pullout cooker was so convenient too! It was very clean and although the nights were a little cool being April, the window covers actually provided noticeable insulation for the van as I didnt use the first night and really noticed the difference! Pick up and drop off was super quick and easy and Gen and her partner Evan were friendly and helpful. They let me leave my car there and the drive from KawaKawa bay to the coromandel was stunning and avoided all of the holiday traffic! I will definitely use their van again for a holiday adventure!

Van is perfect for a long weekend and drives super smooth! We loved the rear cooking station. The awning is great for rainy days.

This van was exactly what I needed for my solo adventure up the North Island to Cape Reinga. The bed was a great size, comfortable and very cozy. The head height is a little low, but it didnt bother me at all. I really appreciated the mosquito netting over the rear windows, which allowed me to keep them open all night. The van itself is very capable and solid. I camped in some fairly windy areas and barely noticed when I was inside. I was also pleasantly surprised by how smoothly the van handled. It drives well and has a great turning radius. The setup for the stove and fridge worked perfectly. I had everything I needed to cook meals, and the fridge was easily big enough to hold a week's worth of food. Storage inside is a bit limited, so youll want to use the box above the main cabin. There is also a narrow slot running widthwise under the bed, big enough for a large backpack. I stored my golf clubs there. Size-wise, the van is perfect for one person and would be a cozy fit for two just make sure it's someone you're comfortable being close with! Gen was fantastic, very communicative, and quick to respond, even while I was out on the road. She was also flexible and accommodating with the return time, which made everything even smoother. Overall, this van and my experience with Gen made my trip unforgettable. Ill definitely be looking to book this van again when I return.

Absolutely loved my solo trip around north island. Gen was super accommodating with pick up and drop off and whenever I had any queries she was super quick to respond and help me. Id definitely recommend this whip - nice and easy to drive. Would hire again if I needed a van in the north island. Perfect size for a solo trip, doable for a couple trip but go easy on the luggage if thats the case.
