Short summary: Robbie and Hayley are great and renting a van from them is a great way to discover New Zealand. The van was well stocked and had everything to make a journey comfortable. For 2 people the van is really big enough, and we have seen 4 people in similar vans. Communication with Robbie and Hayley is great and they responded swiftly to every question. All in all the whole experience was 5 stars. Long version: From the beginning until the end the experience with Robbie and Hayley has been great. We rented the mercury van from them to explore the South Island. On arrival we were picked up at the airport. We got a tour of the van and were on our way. The van we rented, mercury, had Everything you could want for on such a trip. Since we had almost all weather conditions, from temperatures below zero to almost 30 degrees we could test it all out. The Van was stocked with warm blankets to keep us warm, but also a lounge set to chill in the sun, and everything in between. There is basically no need to find additional equipment and you only have to think about your own groceries. The bed was easy enough to set up. It can sleep 4 but we were with 2 and for 2 it really has ample space. On a very rainy day or at a nice campsite near a stream where the sandflies will eat you alive this is certainly a big plus. We have spent a few days doing everything in the van which is really no problem. Luckily, most days this was not needed :). Robbie and Hayley themselves are awesome in communication and simply very friendly. They respond swiftly to your questions and will help you out as much as they can. Simply everything is smooth. We can highly recommend renting this or any other van from them!

From the moment we booked Jupiter, Hayley and Robbie made us feel well cared for and answered all our queries very quickly. Everything we needed was in the van, the bed was comfortable and the winter bedding was just right for October. The airport pick up and drop off helped the holiday go smoothly. We would recommend Jupiter. Thank you so much, would love to come back and do the lower South Island.

2,333 km later and what an unforgettable adventure its been! Exploring the South Island surrounded by lakes, mountains, and views that will stay with us forever. Venus was the perfect travel buddy every step of the way.

7 weeks in Jupiter included half as a couple with a double bed configuration and half as 2 singles sleeping on the bench seats. The former was very warm and comfortable with plenty of bedding. The latter required us to buy sleeping bags which is OK, but the narrow bench berths could have been improved with lee cloths to hold you in! Bit hard to make a van suitable for all configurations so this van could be described as setup for a couple and a child or for 2 adult singles. We were late in the season so heating was an issue. The diesel heater might have been useful if installed correctly, so it meant taking powered sites and running the fan heater. All in all, Robbie and Hayley, communicated well and were supportive if a little over busy with juggling so many things as both had full time jobs. We wish them well.

Had a really great experience with Venus! Robbie&Hayley were always really quick at communicating, helpful answering all questions and provided lots of information and advice at the handover. Venus was very clean, and had all amenities you could need! We did a range of freedom camping and paid campsites, driving around the South Island for 3 weeks, Venus was perfect for this!

We had an amazing experience renting from Robbie and Hayley! From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with classic New Zealand treats (were officially obsessed with reduced cream and onion soup dip nowyou have to try it!). The van was perfectly equipped with everything we needed for our road trip. Any questions we had were answered quickly, and they were always ready to help. The whole experience with Júpiter was a 10/10, and wed absolutely rent from them again if we return to New Zealand. Highly recommend!

An easy 5 stars for Jupiter. Everything we needed for our vacation was in the van and even more. We spent very good moments during one month travelling all around the South Island. As a couple this van was perfect : enough place, everything to cook and a very comfortable bed A big thank for Robbie and Hayley we never waited their answer when we needed something, always ready to help. We recommend Jupiter for people who want to travel around south islands by van, dont hesitate ! Thank you again and hopefully see you again.

Amazing! Everything was great from the beginning. Good communication before we arrived and Robbie gave us a full description on how everything worked once we picked the van up plus they left us some kiwi treats! The van was super clean when we picked it up. Had no issues while driving the van and Robbie responded promptly after every message we sent him. Got a free airport drop off by Robbie to top it up, such a legend Will definitely choose them again if coming back.
