Small hiccup at the start of the trip with the van but easily resolved. Chris was always available and very helpful. Herbie is great fun to drive and a great way to explore the south island. Would definitely recommend!

Herbie was a very reliable vehicle, despite its age, that got us to many detinations across the South Isalnd over two weeks. Comfortable bedding, being able to stand up inside, and everything you need for a great experience with no worries. We loved Herbie, and Chris was excellent and easy to communcate with. We would definately recommend Herbie for a relaible and affordable option to tour the south island.

Herbie is a great vehicle and an uncomplicated owner Chris. It was a fabulous trip. If I come to New Zealand again, I would rent Herbie again. Simply the best: hot water from a boiler that gets its heat from the engine. Happy camping with Herbie
