We had a great month in this van. The owners were super lovely and helpful, going out of their way to pick us up and drop us off. We had one small mechanical issue that was sorted quickly and easily. Nice comfy bed with proper bedding was great, and big fluffy towels! Kitchen was well equipped with a great double burner and grill plate. The van was easy to drive and relatively fuel efficient for its age. The newly installed car play was good, making it easy to connect maps and music. Overall we would definitely recommend this van as an excellent budget friendly option. Thank you both for a great trip :)

Yorkie was the perfect van for me and my girlfriend for our two week trip of the South Island of New Zealand. The van is perfect for two people and youll have a really cosy sleep in the back too. Tim had the van serviced and ready for us when we got there and there were no problems the whole trip. Any questions we had during our trip regarding campsites and things to do, they were so quick to respond when we needed them. Would highly recommend for a couple to explore this beautiful country!

We hired the van for 5 weeks to travel around the South Island. Communication with Tanya and Tim was great, always prompt and answered all our questions. The van had just about everything we needed, it is worth noting that the toilet and toilet tent are in the roof box. This means it's difficult to have it out and use it during the day and in certain areas that we camped. The van is small but very comfortable. It is slow on the hills due to it's age but reliable. We had one issue with the van at the top of Arthurs Pass but that was rectified through Camplify and Tim the following day. The solar panel charged all our gadgets, that being 2 phones, a tablet and camera batteries, so all good there. Support from Tim and Tanya was great, they were very accommodating by picking it up near the airport on our last day. They showed a real interest in our holiday in New Zealand at the end.

Communication before and during the hire was excellent. The van is old with 350+ klms on it and hence a bit tired and slow on hills but it did run perfectly with no serious issues on our 16 day journey around the South Island. The photos make the van look better than it actually is but the bed was comfortable and it meet our needs. The porta pottie is stored in the top box on the roof and is next to useless as it was difficult to access. We didnt end up using it and we doubt anyone has for this reason. The table and chairs were also stored up there but we ended up putting them inside the van instead to make them more assessable. Little things like making sure the 20litre water container was full when we picked up the van, as well as providing 2 full gas canisters at the start (rather than 2 nearly empty ones) are just simple things that would make for a better experience. At the end of the day the daily hire is much less than you will pay from the established hire companies but you do get what you pay for. However the van was relatively reliable with only a small electrical fault with the auxiliary battery which we were able to easily rectify. Tanya and Tim were extremely accommodating by picking us up and dropping us back to the airport which we greatly appreciated.

Van was perfect for our holiday adventure! Very comfortable and spacious. Cant recommend this vehicle and the owners enough.

Our cozy campervan was our faithful home for three weeks and close to 3000 kilometres across New Zealands South Island. It had everything needed (no extras cluttering space) for our active days of trekking, kayaking, exploring. The fantastic bed, duvet, and pillows ensured restful nights. The roof solar panel delivered total off-grid independence at all times (no need to plug in!). The owners heart and soul shone through. Wed rent it again. Thank you Tim and Tanya.

We had the best time travelling around the South Island in the Yorkie Explorer on our two-week campervanning trip! Tanya and her husband Tim made sure we had a fantastic time, picking us up from the airport and doing a handover of the van. The van was stocked with all the essentials (cookware, bedding, camping equipment etc.) and was very easy to use throughout. The bed was also super comfortable! As someone who is 6'2", sleeping was perfectly fine. The van itself was great. It was very easy to set everything up each night and to drive around the South Island. The van performed well on the roads, and was even able to do the steep drive down to and up from Milford Sound (albeit at a slower pace up the hills). We would definitely recommend the Yorkie Explorer for any travellers looking for a smaller van which still has all the amenities and essentials needed for a great campervanning trip. We had a fantastic holiday and the van let us see an amazing and unique side to the South Island of New Zealand. Whether it was waking up near a beach or in a campsite surrounded by curious Bumble Bees gently flying around the van in the morning sun. A very memorable holiday was made possible through this van.
