Just beside Rocky Bay, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the Auckland skyline and Waitemata Harbour islands. While getting to this Waiheke Island campground isn’t the easiest feat (you’ll need to drive aboard a car-ferry), we promise it’s worth the effort - Not only did the New Zealand Herald vote it the best camping spot in the country, Waiheke Island has been titled one of the ten best holiday destinations in the world.

Only 45 minutes from the city, this is the perfect last stop on your RV adventure (provided you can tear yourself away from that awesome view).
