This quiet and peaceful DoC campsite is easily one of the best camping spots in the Coromandel. The kids will love being able to splash about at the beach just across the road from the campsite, while you relax back on shore enjoying some downtime!

If you feel like something a little more adventurous, you can head off on one of the many walks in the area, such as the Fantail Bay Track, or even shore dive for crayfish and spear kingfish and snapper. At the end of the day, cool off with a refreshing shower and camp beneath the pōhutukawa trees!

Feel like a day’s rest from discovering nature? There's plenty to do at the campground: enjoy the kid’s playground, go swimming on Shelly beach, make use of their TV room, enjoy a BBQ and more.

They have plenty of facilities for you to enjoy throughout your stay as well, with a communal kitchen, bathroom, laundry, dump station and even kids club (to take them off your hands for a day or two).
