Take a nice, flat walk to the Wairau Lagoons Walkway and view the rusty remains of Waverley ship. Alternatively, drive to Wither Hills Farm Park, where there’s lots of easy tracks for hiking and biking, or go a bit further and check out Mt Vernon lookout. Of course, don’t forget to book a wine tour and sample the local vineyards, too!
Back at camp, there is an easy-to-use dump station, modern ablution block with laundry facilities, and a great truck wash which will have your campervan ready to go for the rest of your journey.
5. Rarangi Campsite

You can camp right next to the beach at this peaceful Blenheim camping ground. Spend your days walking the trails, enjoying a picnic, or simply listening to the waves as they crash against the shore.
Make sure you venture to the nearby Monkey Bay Blenheim Lookout, where you can enjoy spectacular views across the water. There’s plenty of wilderness to explore in this vast nature reserve. Blenheim is also just a short drive away, where you can head to the museums and check out the local wineries, before escaping back to your secluded accommodation.
