Felix the Fiat

Travelling with Felix is all about freedom and comfort. At just under six metres long, he's the perfect size for exploring New Zealand, compact enough to fit comfortably into most parking spaces and easy to drive, while still offering all the comforts of a much larger motorhome. We spent four months living in Felix full-time and found him to be the ideal home on wheels. Whether you're heading to a holiday park or finding a peaceful spot off the beaten track, Felix gives you the flexibility to travel at your own pace without sacrificing comfort. After a day of exploring, you can relax in a warm, comfortable living space, cook a proper meal in the fully equipped kitchen, and enjoy a great night's sleep in the spacious drop-down double bed. The van can sleep up to four people, although we found it especially comfortable for two. Felix is immaculately maintained and fully equipped with everything you need for your adventure. The kitchen includes an oven, grill, fridge-freezer, sink, cookware, utensils, and basic essentials such as salt and pepper. Linen is provided for both double beds, and the bathroom features a separate shower and toilet. With hot water, central heating, plenty of storage, Bluetooth connectivity, and comfortable adjustable driving seats, Felix is designed to make life on the road easy and enjoyable. We travelled extensively with luggage, outdoor gear, and everyday essentials, and always found there was plenty of room to stay organised. For those wanting to explore beyond powered campsites, Felix is well suited to off-grid travel. The solar system and leisure battery setup comfortably powered our lights, device charging, water systems, and everyday living needs throughout our travels. During the four months we lived in Felix, we rarely needed to plug into mains power. Included with your rental are two camping chairs and a fold-out outdoor table, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or evening meal surrounded by New Zealand's incredible scenery.
